He nodded in agreement. Laying his head on his paws, he watched the night sky as he started to drift off to sleep.
-
Snowmelt fell asleep quicklyand didn't budge.
-
Soon, Shadepaw fell into a deep sleep.
-
Outside of the den they had made rain started to drizzle.
-
The next morning, Shadepaw woke to the rain pouring outside. "ugh, that's great." He muttered.
-
Snowmelt woke up hearing Shadepaw,"What's wro-" She looked out at the rain and she smiled. "This is really good,"She purred and stepped out into the rain. Her white pelt vegan getting soaked in rain.
-
Shadepaw twitched his whiskeres in disgust and stayed inside the den.
-
Snowmelt frowned,"I'm going to go catch us some fish in the stream... You can come if you want.." She started padding towards the stream and then looked back at Shadepaw.
-
He looked at her longingly but he wasn't goingout in the rain, so he just sat there huddled in the entrance.
-
She looked at the ground sadly when She saw he wasn't going to move, and then she dashed down to the stream. The stream side was slippery from the mud but she was used to it. She dug her back claws into the mud and she crouched down and looked into the stream. She saw a bunch of fish in the stream, and some were big enough to feed the both of them. The closest one to her was really big. She slowed raised her paw and then slammed it down, and moved the other to trap it. The fish was stuck to her claws, and she pulled it out of the water. A few minutes later she was bringing the fish to Shadepaw so they could share it.
-
Shadepaw smiled as he saw her padding back.
-
Snowmelt Drug the fish into the den and then shook her pelt off, making her fur stand up like a cottonball. She laughed and then looked at Shadepaw,"Did you miss me?" She smiled
-
He smiled, "more than ever before!" He purred and bit into the fish.
-
Snowmelt felt herself blush and she purred,"Good, cuz I missed you too." She then took a bite of the fish.
-
Shadepaw slowly ate the fish. Stopping, he mewed, "We need to try to go a little farther to see if there are any other dens so we can choose which one is best."
-
She nodded and took another bite of the fish."Your right,"She meowed."but I'm guessing we are gonna wait for the rain to let up?"
-
He nodded and looked outside. The rain was now a fine drizzle. "It shouldn't be long."
-
Snowmelt looked at the fading rain sadly."I love the rain,"She purred."When I was a kit my mother would always tell me to learn to dance in the rain." She looked at Shadepaw,"It's the miracle of Starclan."
-
Shadepaw nodded. "If only it wasn't so wet." He teased, nudging Snowmelt's shoulder.
