"Ah, my mother wanted me to go to college first, or I would've started sooner," Jayden confessed. He was pretty good, he'd never been shot and he'd never had to shoot anyone. His gaze drifted to the ladies up front when Sky looked up. "This part is honestly ridiculous, I've heard it a thousand times. Anyone with common sense can figure out how to save themself."

Sky laughed quietly at his comment and nodded "exactly. Just show us what there is and be done." She stated looking back up at the ladies but not listening. "I went to college for a while then they found me and pulled me out saying I didn't need to go and could take online classes while I worked." She confessed.
-
Jayden smiled widely as he studied Sky. "Yeah, it shouldn't be too hard to open an exit or put on an oxygen mask," he snickered. His gaze was focused completely and totally on Sky. "That's really impressive." He had never met a girl quite like Sky, but he was glad that he did.
-
Sky felt her smile grow seeing Jayden's smile grow. His smile was very cute and his eyes lit up when he smiled big. She didn't know what to talk about with him, they had a long trip ahead and he was nice to talk to. "So is this your first time traveling?" She asked as she buckled like the attendants asked.
-
Jayden shook his head. "Nah, my parents used to take my siblings and I on vacations every year," he answered. The last of those vacations had happened just before he started working. After that he'd been too busy to travel much.
-
Sky nodded as she listened to him "I never went traveling until I started work. After the first 8 months of work I started to travel. It was very fun going everywhere. But I never got to actually experience where I went." She sighed as she said it out loud. She bit her lip as she looked at the seat in front of her. "But I still love it." She admitted and looked back at Jayden with a smile. "So any family, wife, girlfriend, boyfriend?" She asked to make conversation.
-
Jayden laughed a little bit. "No way, I honestly haven't had much time for dating." He waited a moment before he spoke again, "What about you? Do you have a special someone?" He absently started picking at his fingernails as he waited for an answer.
-
Sky smiled and shook her head no. "I haven't had I boyfriend since like... 10th grade. Then he cheated on me with one of the popular girls because they are stunning and why not." She shrugged simply. "I obviously have no time to date, I am always on the go." She said with a sigh. Sky looked up front and watched as the attendants walked towards them and to the back of the plane. Once they did the plane started rolling down the runway. She groaned and layed her head back against the seat "I hate take off. And landing." She frowned.
-
Jayden smiled sympathetically, "He was a fool to cheat on a girl like you, you seem like a great girl." He sighed deeply when he noticed they were about to take off as well. "So do I," he admitted. When he was much younger he used to freak out during take off.
-
Sky looked over at Jayden and smiled sweetly. "Thank you." She said softly and then looked out the window to watch them finally lift off the ground and into the sky. She stiffened and her heart raced as she looked out the window. She gripped the arm rests on the sides of her as she looked forward. She mumbled nonsense under her breath as they got higher into the sky. She shut her eyes and tried to calm down.
-
Jayden tried to breathe steadily and think about other things. He kept his eyes tightly shut not daring to open them out of fear of a meltdown. He inhaled sharply through his nose as he failed to convince himself it wasn't real, but it was a waste. All he could do was try to avoid a complete and utter meltdown.
-
Sky slowly opened her eyes and looked over at Jayden and frowned. She watched his breathing get deeper than hers. She slowly reached her hand over to his hand and grabbed it. She squeezed it trying to comfort the both of them.
-
Jayden felt a little bit calmer- especially since he knew he wasn't facing it alone. So, he gave Sky's hand a reassuring squeeze to show that he was okay. "It's almost over..." he murmured, he wasn't sure if that was for her or himself. Either way, he felt a little bit better.
-
Sky smiled at him and nodded before looking ahead. She looked around at all the people who just talked to their neighbor or closed their eyes and relaxed. She took deep breaths as she looked out the window and realized that they were almost straight and forward. She relaxed once the plane had finally settled and was flying straight ahead gently through the sky. Sky looked at Jayden with a smile "the first worse part is over." She smiled and slowly let go of his hand.
-
Jayden relaxed a little and let out a sigh. He opened his eyes and checked for himself, just to make sure. "Finally," he mumbled. He settled into his seat a little, getting comfortable.
-
Sky let out a small laugh before sighing softly. She looked ahead in front of her "I should be used to this by now. Nothing scares me and I am bothered by almost nothing except planes. I ride them all the time and I am still not used to it." She shook her head with a smile before looking back at Jayden.

(I'm sorry, I spent a lot of time at my Dad's house, babysitting my sisters, over spring break (I'm home-schooled so I get 2 weeks) and I got a bad Kidney Infection that I've just barely recovered from)
Jayden was genuinely impressed. "Not anything? Not even giant spiders or evil clowns?" he gasped in awe. Truthfully, Jayden was terrified of both of those things. The prospect of finding a girl who wasn't afraid of the things he was fascinated him.
-
Sky giggled at him softly and shook her head. "No. Clowns are creepy and all but I'm not scared of them." She shrugged. She was going to tell him that she had to face all of her fears before getting the job but decided against it just in case he asked more questions. She tried to find a different way to reword it. "I hated being scared so I faced them all and now I'm not scared." She said simply.
Oh my gosh I am so sorry! I hope that you feel better and hopefully it doesn't happen again! That is terrible I am so sorry. I am glad you made it through though!
