  • Deep in the mountains of Lake County, Colorado, an insane asylum by the name of Mount Massive is sitting supposedly vacant. Years before now, a girl and her brother blew the whistle on the terrible experiments that were being performed. It's been five years and people are starting to go missing again. Protective custody isn't enough to protect anyone anymore. Rumor all around the world is that the asylum never stopped their experiments but rather relocated to a place of secrecy.

These variants are willing to kill. Many of them have been driven insane and drilled down to nothing but their animal-like instincts. Will you be one to survive? Or will you give yourself up to the asylum?

  • OOC: We can start now if everyone wants to :)

IC: The musty smell, the dim light, the chill bumps on her arms. Before she even opened her eyes Karter knew she was back in hell. She sat up and immediately grabbed her head. What happened? The last thing she could remember was running through the woods with Waylon... Waylon! Without hesitating, she jumped to her feet. The room was white walled and only big enough for one prisoner. Her brother wasn't here.

On the far side of the facility, Waylon jarred his shoulder against the door for the third and final time. It flung open to a dark, dank hallway. Peeking out of the room, he realized where he was. He was back. They had finally caught up. With great caution, Waylon exited the room and started walking down the hall of holding cells.

  • Chloe woke with a start, snapping her eyes open and jumping up, only to sit back down when she was overcome with dizziness. She looked around the room; it was only big enough for one person and looked too much like the group home she was sent to after the truck crash. She began to panic and flung herself at the door. She did it again and again until the door burst open with a loud bang, echoing around the halls. She ran through a hall at random. She had to get out of here before she drove herself insane.

  • OOC: Hey, Dragonheart~ I think I put in my forum that Waylon and Karter are the only two people who've survived this place so everyone else would be kind of new...y'know? Sorry if that's inconvenient... :-[

IC: Karter rammed her shoulder against the door but it didn't do much aside from make her shoulder hurt. Along with all her other problems, claustrophobia was setting in and even though the room was big enough for her to walk around, it was getting smaller by the second.

Waylon kicked the door hard, flinging it open immediately. He exited the room and started walking the halls. Priority one was to find Karter. Every noise set him off. This place was like a ticking time bomb and Waylon didn't want to be in it when it went off.

  • OOC: changed it
IC: Chloe kept sprinting through the halls, not paying much attention to where she was going. As she rounded one corner, she crashed into someone. Both her and the boy she had crashed into toppled to the ground. She looked at him and screamed. He was dressed in the same clothes that everyone on the truck had been dressed in. It just brought back too many memories. She huddled against the wall with her knees to her chest and her hands clutching her head. She rocked back and forth to try and calm herself down.

  • Waylon pulled himself off the ground, ready to fight if he had to. Instead, he saw a small, scared girl cowering against the wall. "Whoa," he said, putting his hands up to show that he wouldn't hurt her. "Are you okay?" His voice was soft. It wasn't hard to understand why she would be scared of him. He had on the grey pants and white shirt that they all wore and he was covered in scars from his terms in Afganistan as well as his last visit to the asylum. He looked pretty scary.

  • Gideon woke with a start. From what he could tell he was wearing a straight jacket. He couldn't really tell where he was, but he bet that it had something to do with what he did to his younger sister. He could still remember the shock on his parents' faces when they saw him covered in all that blood.

Julia was scared to death. She didn't know where was she was and it frightened her. Where was her father? Was she still in Boston? A sinking in her stomach told her that she was far away from both.

  • Chloe flinched away from the boy's voice. Her vision blurred and she was instantly brought back to the crash. The fear, the pain, the insanity of it all. It was almost unbearable. She began to shake uncontrollably, convulsing every once in a while.

  • Waylon kneeled down, though not close enough to seem threatening. "It's okay..." he said, his voice calm and soothing. "I won't hurt you...What's your name?" He tried his best to make his voice soft and calm. He wanted her to know that he wasn't a danger to her.

  • Chloe looked into the boy's eyes and began to calm down, breathing deeply and evenly. "C-Chloe." she whispered. Then she took one last deep breath, now breathing normally. "You?"

(Oh, and she is a little crazy in the head, so she talks a little strangely and sees the world differently.)

  • "My name is Waylon. Are you hurt?" he asked, watching her carefully. If she had a panic attack and decided to come at him, he wanted to be prepared. Still, he appeared calm and collected, his brown eyes knowing and wise.
