[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 315px; height: auto; margin-top: -15px;][hr][justify][color=white]ooc; hey, guys! Yvaine is going to become a bad kitty and train with the Dark Forest warriors. She's currently out wandering in RdC territory so this is where she'll encounter a Dark Forest spirit. (If you have read Crookedstar's Promise, it will be a bit like Crookedstar being fooled by Mapleshade into thinking the Dark Forest is good.) Feel free to bring your characters in; they can find Yvaine talking to a spirit and realize it is from the Dark Forest, or maybe they ARE a member of the Dark Forest.
ic;
Yvaine stalked off into the cold and barren world, angry at everything: the lack of respect she was given, her brothers Aries and Tycho, her mentor, even, for not taking her out more often. Everyone was stupid. Everything was hopeless. Why did she bother so much with the world around her when no one else gave a damn back? Hot, angry stings attacked her eyes and she let out a choked sob, wishing she could be anywhere but here. She wanted to be somewhere warm and bright and happy, alone. Nothing was ever how she wanted it to be.
"What's wrong, little one?" a voice said quietly, and Yvaine gasped, turning around to find a dark-furred she-cat walking towards her. The female feline was tall, slender, and elegant, with a fur coat so shiny that the apprentice thought it was made out of night. The stranger's eyes gleamed with a mysterious expression, holding sympathy and kindness and as gold as the sun's rays. "Feel like you don't belong?" she asked, walking over to the lonely apprentice and sitting down next to her. "I know how that feels. Being an outcast." she mewed in concern, hunkering down to lap at the mushy snow. Yvaine just stared at the other cat uncertainly.
"You're probably wondering who I am. I'm a dead cat, to be frank. I don't exist in your world. I'm a spirit from another world. My name is Raze." the ink-black feline informed Yvaine, looking up with those striking eyes to pierce at the youngster's own optics. "I know how you feel, and I want you to consider me as a friend. I may be dead and a stranger, but I have encountered the same demons you are facing now, and may be able to lend a paw in times of trouble. All you would have to do is call my name." she said with a smile.
ooc; i would appreciate if someone jumped in and intruded on yvaine and raze's conversation with something along the lines of, "what are you doing?" xD
