~Rowan was laying just outside the entrance to the military camp, soaking in the sun. The elderly snow leopard was just thinking. She had been doing a lot of that lately. About what, you ask? About mortality. She knew very well that her time was limited here, on this earth, and she was okay with that. Her death would be the end of one big adventure, and the beginning of one huge new one. Who knew what laid beyond the void? Was it forever wandering as a ghost of what once was? Or was there just nothingness? Or maybe you ascended to heaven with those preposterous gods still leaning over you like rulers. My, what a pathetic outcome that last one would be. The old lady huffed a sort laugh and closed her grey, clouded eyes. Yes, she was old. Her adventure had almost reached its resolution. Almost, but not quite yet.
