  • As Lightfeather approached the gorge, her stomach started to twist with slight unceritanty. She knew that she was going to have to show Snowpaw the dreaded Gorge of WindCllan territory, but along with this expedition came the memories of her kin's deaths. As much as she hated her bretheren, her pelt would stand on end whenever she thought of their horrified shreiks as they both fell to their death. " Stay close now, Snowpaw. This place can be more dangerous than the Thunderpath and its monsters."

  • Snowpaw sensed a slight worry in Lightfeathers voice as she spoke to her, 'Ok,' she mewed worriedly, staying as close to Lightfeather as she could.

  • Lightfeather came up to the gorge's edge, peering over the cliff into the depths below. She shivered as she was reminded of that day so long ago. "This is the gorge. Many a cat have fallen of off the gorge, and none has survived."

  • Snowpaw listened to Lightfeather intently, making sure not to miss anything. She could see why no cat had survived the fall, it was really far down. She stepped wearily away from the edge. 'That's so far down!' she mewed.

  • " Indeed it is....its a tragedy that so many cats have foolishly made the wrong moves and fall to their deaths..." Lightfeather's pelt ruffled as she felt a chill. " This is one place you do not want to get ito a fight. You not only have a warrior to worry about, but you have this gorge.."

Darkwhisker was on a patrol by himself, sticking close to the edge of the border between RiverClan and WindClan, having heard news that other clans have been moving markers from their agreed spots. He spotted two cats just at the edge of the gorge. He wasn't worried about them being on the wrong side of the border; He knew they were WindClan, but nonetheless, he didn't want to see what looked like two apprentices that close to the edge.
"Hey there," Darkwhisker called out to them both. " You two better get away from that ledge. It would be a shame to see two foolish pprentices so close to the border."
Lightfeather turned where she stood, thinking that someone may have crossed the border, but her shoulders relaxed as she saw that it was her old friend, Darkwhisker. " Don't call me an apprentice just because im short, Darkwhisker." She meowed jokingly.

  • Snowpaw nodded in agreement, it would be extremely danegerous to fight near the gorge. As Darkwhisker called to them she felt a bit bad that Lightfeather had been called an apprentice, it must be a bit hard for her being so small, but she didn't seem to mind to much. She looked at Darkwhisker and smiled politely.

  • Darkwhisker padded up towards the border to them both, sitting down and looking to his old friend. " Well it seems as though you haven't changed that much, Lightfeather." Darkwhisker spoke, his dark amber gaze glancing towards the gorge. " Still mourning for your bretheren..."
Lightfeather bowed her head to the tom. "Indeed I am." She looked over to Snowpaw and began introducing them both. "Snowpaw, this is Darkwhisker. He was a friend of mine back when we were apprentices. And Darkfeather, This is Snowpaw, my apprentice."

  • Snowpaw listened to what Darkwhisker was saying, thats why lightfeather seemed a bit worried, she must have lost a loved one at the gorge she thought. She turned to Darkwhisker as he was introduced, 'Hello,' she mewed, ' nice to meet you.'

  • Darkwhisker nodded his head towards his friend's apprentice. " Nice to meet you, Snowpaw." His dark amber gaze fell upon the wound on her shoulder, which seemed to be fairly new. " Where did you get that scar, young one?"

  • Snowpaw looked back at Darkwhisker and mewed, 'Lightfeather was showing me the border between our territory and shadowclans and two shadow clan cats attacked us. but we beat them. Didn't we Lightfeather?' She looked happily at her mentor.

  • Lightfeather nodded, happy to see that her apprentice was so proud of herself. " Indeed we did. I beleive that large she cat is going to be blind in one eye." Her pelt prickled as sht thought about the meeting of the windclan cats earlier this morning, and how there would be a possible assault on ShadowClan in the forecoming days." ShadowClan needs to be wary. IF they continue this, we will have no choice but to attack."
"Aye, we too have been having some..."difficulties" lately." Darkwhisker replied, his tail drumming the ground beneath him slowly.

  • Snowpaw listened intently into the conversation Lightfeather and Darkwhisker were having, would they really go to war with Shadowclan?

  • Lightfeather knew she couldn't share information to Darkwhisker, even if he was a friend, and sighed heavily. Darkwhisker seemed to get the message and rose back to his haunches. "Well i best be on my way then," Darkwhisker said, taking one long good look at Lightfeather before turning away. "Good luck."
Lightfeather watched him as he left and looked down towards Snowpaw. "It's always nice to have a friend in another clan...just dont get too close."

  • Lightfeather nodded. " If you get too close, others will begin questioning your loyalty..." Her voice trailed off, remaining silent for several moments before speaking once more. "You cannot share information with them, either. For example," Lightfeather sat down where she stood, curling her tail around her paws. "We might be invading ShadowClan soon."

  • Snowpaw listened intently. When Lightfeather mentioned an invasion of Shadowclan she felt her heart beat rise, but she wasn't scared, she had beaten off an apprentice before, she should be able to do it again. 'Have our clan had enough of them being in our territory?' she asked remembering Lightfeather telling her they had been scented over the border by the Thunderpath.

  • Lightfeather nodded. " Their filthy crowfood scent is all over WindClan. I have also heard several other stories that several ShadowClan cats have even stolen some of our prey. I'm not sure if Starnight knows about it, but it seems to me like she doesn't care." Lightfeather closed her amber optics for several moments before speaking. "Has Tundrapaw been lifted from camp arrest? If so, we need to continue your battle training immediately, and i still havent recovered much yet."

  • Snowpaw nodded, 'They do need to be told!' She mewed, 'They can't just come into our territory and eat OUR prey!' She thought back to Tundrapaw, 'I'm not sure if he is allowed out of camp yet,' she admitted, 'I will need to ask him.'

  • "Alright then. I want you to be prepared if Dreamastar will allow us to follow through with this plan." Lightfeather replied, rising back to her paws. " Lets get back to camp and talk to Tundrapaw."

  • Snowpaw nodded, she wanted to be ready as well, 'Ok, let's go now then,' she mewed padding away, checking that Lightfeather was coming as well.
