who's gonna' save the world tonight?
[size=7pt]Insignia had asked for an herb-gathering patrol, so an herb-gathering patrol he got. Moirai wasn't particularly keen on leading a patrol of her own for the first time in... well, was it forever, or just ever? Io was nowhere to be found, as per usual, but the apprentice medicine cat knew that the more practice she got with in her field of expertise could only do her good, and this was a chance to improve upon them. She'd gone and asked almost any cat she could find who was available to help, wanting to have as many helping paws as possible before heading out to mass-harvest. The calico was really nervous, but this had to be done. Not tomorrow, not in a few days. Today. Now. Prepared or not, she was the one cat that others would be looking to for answers today.
"Are you guys ready to collect some herbs?" she asked loudly, eyeing the group of cats who had assembled by the entry of the RadicalClan camp and were awaiting her instructions. She took care not to show any nervousness as she surveyed the mass of felines gazing at her expectantly as if she were the precursor or something. most of them were Hitchhikers, but she spotted a few RadicalClanners among the ranks as well, which brought her a spark of hope. Just because the Hitchhikers were leaving RadicalClan didn't mean they were alone in giving back.
Ready or not, they were getting their instructions now. Moirai looked steadily at the nearest volunteer, eyes sparkling with assurance and warmth as she meowed, "Today, we'll be collecting mainly any catmint we can find, coltsfoot, ragwort, goldenrod, and marigold. she announced, standing as tall as she could in order to look everyone in the eye (didn't help that she wasn't exactly the tallest one there.) "If you have any questions at all, just come and ask me. There may be herbs you cannot identify. That is what I'm here for." she meowed with a chuckle. "Also, please remember that herbs must be harvested in a certain way. Picking them in the wrong way could damage them and make them less effective." she informed the group. "Again, just ask me if you are unsure about anything, okay?"
With that, the calico-furred apprentice turned and headed out of the RadicalClan camp, her tail high in the air, signalling for the rest of the patrol to follow.
