Darkeye and Wetpaw padded back into camp, and Wetpaw dropped the petty mouse on the fresh-kill pile. Birdcatcher had retired to the Warriors' Den after another Hunting Patrol. Sunstreak hopped toward the fresh-kill pile, picking out Wetpaw's mouse. She had went over near the entrance, eating her meal.

"Very much so..." Mooneyes muttered. "I'm remembering Blazer... and the kits..." Mooneyes meowed sadly. She suddenly smiled a bit, "Damned nostalgia... and the saddening memories..." She suddenly began hissing under her breath, "God dammit... I blame she who shall not be named" Mooneyes snarled loudly.

Wetpaw watched from the apprentices den with eyes like slits. She padded over to Mooneyes after Dogfang left, "Hey, Mooneyes... Who's... Vividheart?"
Dogfang overheard, and turned. She saw Wetpaw's fur was on end. "She's a wicked cat, and was Scorchstar's deputy when he became leader. They had killed many, and sent cats away for weakness. They were tyrants, that is all."
Wetpaw turned to Mooneyes, "Did you know her?"

Birdcatcher was bright eyed and bushy tailed from her nap, so she began to pad around camp, automatically taking shift to watch the entrance.
Dogfang was sleeping in her nest. She continuously flinched, seeing blazing green eyes in the dark of her dream, chasing her down. Wetpaw stayed awake, her head on her paws as she looked at the sky. The other apprentices were asleep. Berrypaw was laughing a bit in her sleep.
