    Jin Morningstar marched along the beach. It was getting close to sunset, and the fox was going to take a walk in the forest later. He loved how the moonlight and the stars reflected off of the bubbling forest streams, how the night's blanket of darkness allowed him to walk in privacy and in peace.

    Lila was sitting by the water on the beach as well, watching the waves come and go. It was weird how the ocean made water flow into land, only to take it back.


    The wolf plush tilted her head, wings flapping slightly. She was bored, and she didn’t know who to talk to. The others were probably doing their own thing, so she didn’t want to interfere.


    She suddenly heard steps on the sand, and immediately she looked around, spotting a fox just nearby. 「O-oh, uh... Jin, right?」 she asked nervously, smiling. She could barely remember names.

    Lila seemed a bit shocked at first, though it was practically unnoticeable due to her emotionless button eyes. 「...Yeah.~」 The setting sun winked one last time before starting to disappear in the horizon. For a moment, she wondered if it was the full moon tonight.

    Jin picked up on the doll wolf's surprise. He blushed a bit, smiling and woofing,"You don't have to come if you don't want to.. and uhh yea. The stars here by the sea are always so.."the fox gazed out towards the waves,"pretty." He wasn't lying. The night sky here was better than he'd ever seen or imagined. It was like he was flying through the Milky Way when he looked up to observe those night skies.

    The fox began padding in the direction of the forest. He wasnt amused at the question, but actually a bit perplexed. He shrugged, turning to look at Lila with a puzzled face on."I wouldn't really be able to make a comparison, as I've never really been a doll before." The fox sighed, shrugging once more. He suddenly felt a bit bad for the little plush. Was she even alive? How could she have a family, being just a plush doll? Many questions about this strange little wolf bombarded the fox's head.

    Jin smiled at the wolf, now plunging deeper into the forest. Long tree branches stretched over his head. The had no leaves, but this just made them more unique and stoic, more beautiful."I was thinking of seeing myself if I could get another body. I'm pretty sure I have shape-shifting."

    "Yea. They're really beautiful." The fox's ginger tail shot up, and he made a sound of excitement."Ooh! I need to show you something!" The fox padded though the forest. He made note of landmarks around, making sure he was going in the right direction. The canid smiled as he came upon the tree. He ducked under its roots, squeezing into the hollow inside of the giant tree. It was like a little hut, except in was roofless and was only a few feet above Jin's head. He smiled, looking up again. This place was perfect. He had even gathered some moss, some that was left from preceding nights. He curled up on one of the moss beds, staring up at the belt of stars visible in the night.

    The fox smiled at the little canid's excitement. He'd hoped she'd enjoy this place as much as he did. It really was a tranquil little place to rest, amidst all of the chaos of clan life. Jin looked at her, starlight dancing in his eyes, and woofed,"I've found a lot of cool places in the forest. I just happen upon them." The fox returned his dark brown oculars to the band of silver above. It was like a celestial river, ever flowing and changing as the year progressed.
