Welcome to Rapidsclan.
Rapidsclan is just a normal clan with the normal ranks: kits, apprentices, warriors, queens, deputy and leaders. Yes leaders.
Petalstar and Acornstar are twins. They're not just any set of twins though, Petalstar holds the feelings and emotions while Acornstar has the calm and calculating side. Without each other these sisters would be lost.
So they climbed the ranks together. From kits to warriors they have never been apart, but then Acornstar, then Acornshell, had been called to be deputy. The results had been devastating. Acornshell couldn't understand things, like why it would hurt someone's feelings if they were banned from going hunting because they were clumsy and would scare off prey. She didn't get why killing a kit with greencough so it wouldn't spread would arouse anger in the clan. It wasn't her fault but the clan started to see it that way. They demanded she be demoted from deputy and some even called for her to be forced into the forest.
Luckily for her, Petalstar, then Petalfur, saved the day. She knew just how to calm the clan and was soon appointed as a second deputy to help Acornshell. When their leader, Dapplestar, passed on they asked the clan who should become the leader. Though there were some who still wanted them out of power most of the clan decided it would be best for them both to lead. Starclan didn't seem to disapprove either so together they made the journey to the Lightleaf.
A moon into their leadership however, Petalstar's emotions got in the way and she fell in love with a young warrior. As of right now nobody in the clan, not even her sister knows. They've only been leaders for two moons.
Rapidsclan territory: Rapidsclan sits a few yards from a calm, peaceful river. A few taillengths down the shore though and the river becomes a deadly place with rapids and sharp rocks and even a waterfall that drops into a valley far below them. The clan is surrounded by a plentiful forest on one side of the rapids and on the other side is a ghost forest of burnt out trees and ash-covered ground. A long time ago, when the clan had first started to settle in, a raging forest fire had nearly wiped them out. Luckily enough survived to rebuild the clan but the forest on the otherside of the rapids has never grown back. They call it Ashpelt forest after the deputy that had died trying to protect his clan from the fire and it's where they bury their dead.
Of course a clan can't be a clan without a connection to Starclan, that's where the Lightleaf comes in. Deep into the Ashpelt forest, past their territory line, is a hollow in the ground shaped like a leaf. When the moon rises it fills the hollow with light and, when leaders or medicine cats lay under the light they are connected to Starclan.
The camp itself is basic.
The leader's den is a crooked tree with a hollow about half way up. The leader(s) hold the clan meeting from the branches of the tree.
The medicine cat den is at the far end of the camp in a natural cave that's partway under the ground.
The warrior's den is a cluster of ferns under a rocky overhang.
The apprentice den is a hollow log that's been blocked off on one side by a clump of briers.
The Nursery is in the same tree as the leader's den except for it is snuggled up under the roots of the tree.
