I've got a plot bunny for Hawk: Gabriella was trying to speed up the baking process while she was watching chocolate chip cookies in the oven. She accidentally fast-forwards herself, and she's suddenly an 18-year-old woman with the mind of a six-year-old child. She doesn't really understand what happened--just that everything seemes to have shrunk--and somehow or another she bumps into Hawk. Hawk thinks she's cute and asks her out on a date--to the carnival in the city, a few miles from the village. Gabriella, who has never been outside before, let alone at a carnival, excitedly agrees. The rest come along, Fin and May on a date, Scarlet for another job, Mason because he has nothing better to do. Carter or another loyal agent will be chaperoning, making sure they don't try to run away.
Sub-plot: Mason sticks to Scarlet because he's secretly worried that she'll turn into a cat, though for some reason she has only transformed because of him, but of course he doesn't know that and thinks she does this on a regular basis. Their cover is as a love-doped couple, and at first Mason and Scarlet go out of their way to shower their partner with suffocating affection in order to irritate each other. Eventually they fall into a smoother rhythm and begin acting as a real "couple." Scarlet, who has strong feelings for Mason, feels her heart beating faster and scolds herself for loving a man who does not love her back. Mason, who is beginning to open up to Scarlet, starts to wonder whether or not it would actually work--if they are together--and reassesses her from crabby b*tch to a normal girl.
He has feelings for May, and is still smarting from her obvious rejection. But he cannot help giving her a peck on the cheek as a good-bye, touching her hair, and patting her head like a pet.
