Odessa was seated on a great pile of large rocks which sat on one of the many cliffs that lead down to the beach. A full moon hung above her, illuminating the territory with its gentle white glow.
It was nearly midnight, the time she had instructed her clanmates to come here. Through the passing of whispers and rumors, almost all of HawkClan probably knew about the "secret meeting" which was going to be held there. She made sure not to reveal any major details about the whereabouts of this meeting, and disguised her divulgence of information about it as mere gossip to others in casual conversation. All she revealed was that someone was requesting everyone to come to the cliffs at midnight, and that they needed to tell everyone something. Nobody knew it was truly Odessa who was behind all of this.
She had her speech for this prepared, rehearing it over and over in her mind and murmuring it under her breath when she was alone. Before coming to the cliffs, she calmed her terrible nerves by a consuming a large dose of thyme. Her anxiety over this situation was heavily soothed by the herb, but a twang of it still bothered her. All her anxieties needed to be pushed aside for now, though. She must to do this.
So there she sat under the shine of the moon and stars, every topic she planned to cover racing through her mind as she awaited for the arrival of the others.
