  • Crowstripe padded over to the fk pile he grabbed a very large rabbit and started for Lavenderbloom "Hey Lavenderblooom, do you know your parents?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]"Hey Lavenderblooom, do you know your parents?" The medicine cat was a bit startled by the sudden entrance of Crowstripe, his question catching her completely off guard. "Oh, hello there Crowstripe!" she meowed, waving her tail in greeting as she padded to the edge of her den. "That's an interesting question. I did know my parents very well but sadly they both passed away," she replied a bit sadly, though what was done was done. However, she missed them very much either way.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]She was growing curious about his odd stream of questions but decided not to comment on them yet, electing to simply answer them honestly instead. "Yes, something like that. Lilyshine, Frostheart, Frostlight, and Tanglecrow are all expecting kits," she meowed with a small smile, mentioning Crowstripe's own mate in the mix. Was he excited about the litter now? Before, when he had come to her den to announce it, he had seemed very happy. Right now he did not, though she wasn't sure why. "Is everything okay, Crowstripe?"[/fancypost]

  • He looked at her a sparkle in his eyes he wanted to tell her so bad, just one little secret. The WHOLE clan knew expect her. (Gorsebelly likes her that the secret) "Yeah I'm good."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]It certainly seemed like there was something else on Crowstripe's mind but it wasn't her place to pry, no matter how curious she was. Instead she decided to change the subject, hoping it would help loosen the tom's tongue a bit. "How is Littlepaw doing? I'm sure she's due to become a warrior soon!" she mentioned, thinking of the ebony tom's daughter. She hadn't been seeing her much around camp lately but with how busy they both were, she being the medicine cat and Littlepaw always in training, it was no wonder they hardly crossed paths.[/fancypost]

  • "I'm not really sure. I think she's fine but I never really see her. Sometimes I feel as if I'm not a good father." Crowstripe admitted. "Some times I feel like I should have the name Deathberries."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]Ouch, that seemed like a touchy subject. How did she always manage to pad in the wrong direction with conversations? The medicine cat moved closer to the tom, placing her tail on her shoulder in a comforting gesture. "You deserve the name you have now, Crowstripe. Everyone in the Clan has faith in that, including your daughter," Lavenderbloom meowed, hoping her words would help. "Littlepaw has a busy life so don't feel bad. She's on her way to becoming a hard-working warrior like her father!" She could certainly see why he'd be upset though. If she had kits of her own she'd want to see them always, but that just wasn't realistic. The Clan came first forever and always.[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]"Just do whatever you can. Your family will understand, I promise." She had a bad habit of promising things she couldn't guarantee when she was trying to comfort others. However, she had a good feeling that Crowstripe's mate wouldn't be too hard on the tom. She knew what it meant to be a loyal, hard-working warrior and the ebony striped feline did it well. Lavenderbloom held a great deal of respect for the warriors of HitherClan, even though some of them drove her crazy at times. Crowstripe was one of the ones she could tolerate a lot of, as well as Gorsebelly. Cindercloud was up on the list too now. Yeah, Cindercloud... Anyway! "Just keep your head up, okay? I know you can get through this."[/fancypost]

  • He purred "You know, I had to tell you this a long......time ago. I knew your parents. They were my friends. I can tell you the way they died." Crowstripe said.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]OOC: I gotta confirm with Kokiricat about anything with their parents first, since she was the one to first create Lilyshine and Lavenderbloom's family. xD[/fancypost]

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]OOC: I just talked to Kokiricat and she says your story is fine for their parents. :3

    IC: The medicine cat remained very quiet for a moment before nodding her head, deciding to hear what Crowstripe had to say. It had been so long since she thought about her parents. They had died when she and Lilyshine were still very young, to the point where neither of them really remembered anything important about the pair. A lot of Clan cats lost their parents though, so she never really dwelled on the facts for too long. It would still be interesting to hear exactly what happened though, now that she was more than old enough to understand.[/fancypost]

  • Ooc Yesh!

    Crowstripe sat down dawn was setting. "There had been a weird animal smell in the old territory. We had never smelled it. You father and I had and your mother became one to be chosen, to go on patrol for it. You two were still a baby put your mother begged and begged to go. The leader sighed and let her go. The cats were the deputy, me your father and I. And of course Shadowbreeze my brother." He paused a bit of sadness in his voice. "We were setting out it was nearly midnight but we didn't like to attack in the sun...........we found the smell and there was also a twoleg. They were 'playing' around and the 'dog' had its leash off. It had five more friends around with no leashes. Your mother became face to face with a dog. The dog lunged teeth bared straight to her neck. You father jumped infront." He paused and waited for a Lavenderbloom he wasn't finished but Rainbow had to go to bed quickly;

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]Wow. Now wonder she hadn't heard the full story before. Who would have wanted to be the one to explain such a tale to two young kits? However, Lavenderbloom was more than capable of handling things now. It didn't stop the hurt completely, but knowing her parents died protecting each other gave her some strange comfort. "I knew there had been a tragic story behind it, but I didn't realize it was dogs. How did you get away though?" Had her parents' sacrifice been enough to allow Crowstripe to flee? What happened to Shadowbreeze as well?[/fancypost]

  • "I your father lay there dead on the floor all of our jaws dropped. We lost our leaders last life to that dog. Shadowbreeze went to go get help didn't return in till moons. So back to the story......your mother there staring at her mate dead at her paws frightened stood there frozen. The dog hit again. Now two dead cats and one leader. I returned later cuts on my should one on my head I remember when you were little and saw me in the den you squeaked out 'I wanna help!'. I could tell every one blamed it on me. They said I killed them. They said I tricked them. That's why you really didn't hear the story." Crowstripe finished. He wasn't the one who had emotion but there was blazing fire in his eyes but seemed like tears. "Your father my best friend. Your mother my cousin. Dead. The leader, my father. Dead. Brother? Left."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]OOC: I love the story but the leader couldn't have died. :3 Earlystar would have still been leader at that point since he was practically ancient. xD

    IC: "No one blames you now, Crowstripe, I promise. Graystar gave you your warrior name because you more than deserve it. You're no longer Deathberries, and you'll always be a good cat. You did whatever you could for my parents and I appreciate that with all of my heart," Lavenderbloom meowed kindly, offering her Clanmate a comforting smile. It was curious that Shadowbreeze would just up and leave like that. Had there been more to his part of the story? Had he done something wrong? There were still unanswered questions but she wouldn't press the matter just yet. However, the part of the story involving her didn't surprise her at all. She had always wanted to be a medicine cat from the day she knew what herbs were![/fancypost]

  • "Of course if you want to know why Shadowbreeze left he told me when he returned." Crowstripe said. Though everyone knew medicine cats couldn't have kits. Gorsebelly still tried. Crowstripe had seen a close nod between Cindercloud though.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]"He returned? When did that happen?" Lavenderbloom asked next, her eyes sparking with curiosity. This was a side of MarshClan's history she knew nearly nothing about. The past had always seemed so irrelevant to the medicine cat, at least it had in these matters. However, there was much to learn from these events as she was now finding out. Maybe later she could pass this story along to her sister, in case she still didn't know. If she did Lavenderbloom was going to feel like a fool for having waited so long to hear it.[/fancypost]
