The cats living here don't let you catch anything anyway, selfish furballs," he explained as browning leaves cracked underfoot. The strong, earthy scent of the trees filled the air, yet you could feel the icey cold in it, too. Alfie's eyes widened in wonder. She's much more alert than I thought she'd be. he realised, gradually coming to a stop. He felt the presences becoming more and more agitated, and even heard a few whispers. "Why are they here?" "Disgusting trespassers." The corners of his mouth turned to reveal a frown, and a low growl emanated from his throat. "Show yourselves, you cowards! Better attack now, as you've lost the element of surprise!" he taunted, realising their chances of survival would've been much higher if he hadn't revealed he knew they were there.

Nevertheless, he felt like impressing Diamond for some reason, and a good fight couldn't hurt, could it? Of course it would, you idiot, he thought to himself, it's a fight, what do you expect? The whole basis of a fight relies on the fact that you get hurt. Frustated at himself for letting his mind wander, he turned his attention away from his useless thoughts and instead awaited the attackers. Diamond jumped out watching it not knowing what to do. A cream she-cat with flowers all over her was stalking her back, and not even doing anything basicly, so she could tell they were both girly cats.
