Jack thanked the boy and walked towards the hut. He wondered why they weren't well liked, but decided it would be best if he didn't ask. People were already glaring at him or giving him strange glances. They knew he wasn't a fire bender, and earth benders had a reputation for disrupting the peace. Jack knocked on the door of the hut and prayed that they had made it home already. He hadn't had dinner yet and needed some help with his predicament.

IC: "You guys are the same for me, so thank you for that." Ana said. "I'm sorry about my outburst earlier." She added, looking down towards the floor. "I feel bad because it was Jack's dad and if I had killed him, Jack would've gone through what I do. But I just couldn't stand there without doing anything. That man is the reason that I constantly practice my fighting." Seeing How lovely the fire bender's home was, she grinned. I don't just trust them, I love them. the girl said to herself mentally, even if she had met them that morning.

Ember just shook her head, sighing. "I know. Stuff like that is difficult..and I'm not even sure what to do." Cal, eyes still closed, suddenly spoke up. "You did well, both of you. Killing another person is not the way to heal. You need to forgive--no matter how difficult. I know you may think forgiveness is impossible, but it never is. Not forgiving someone is like drinking poison and hoping the other person dies. It just..doesn't work." After his long, incredibly wise rant, he went silent and back into meditation.
Ember nodded. "He's right." As the door was knocked on, and she mouthed out, Go back into that room. She mouthed, seeing through the window that it was Jack. She didn't know if Ana and him should really be around each other until Em found out what he wanted.

Jack smiled when Ember opened the door, and rubbed the back of his neck nervously. "Sorry for intruding, but I need serious help... You aren't mad are you?" He wanted to walk in but didn't want to seem rude so he just leaned against the door frame.

Ember studied him, her green eyes intense and a little mad. Though after a few seconds, she sighed."It's not your fault..you didn't know." Her gaze softened, motioning for him to come in. "What's up?" She asked, raising an eyebrow as she shut the door behind him.
Cal had moved to sit in front of the closet door Ana was in, still meditating.

IC: Ana suddenly realized why she was sent away. She had heard Jack's voice. Calm down Ana. It's not his fault. He did nothing wrong. she had reminded herself, clenching her fists and squeezing her eyes shut.

Jack walked inside and plopped down on top of the couch. "My father cast me out from my home. Unless I can kill Ana and prove that I killed her, I won't be allowed back home. I can't kill Ana, Ember, I don't know what to do I can't live alone this is the first time I have gotten off the hill!" He fought back tears because he didn't want to appear weak, but they were threatening to spill.

Ember saw the unhappiness and terror that Jack's voice and eyes told. Sitting down next to him, she looked sad. "I'm sorry." She whispered, reaching over to hug her friend tightly. Pulling back, she suddenly looked like her usual self again. "You definitely don't have to stay with your dad. You'll be staying with us from now on." She nodded. "Right, Cal?"
He hummed a response, moving his hands to move from the door and back to his corner.

Jack smiled, "Thank you guys, I can't thank you enough. " Even though he was caught off guard by the hug, he appreciated her efforts. He looked around at his new home, and realized that he had to help out if he was really going to live here. "I don't want to complicate your situation here, so if there's anything I can do to help out and be less of a burden, tell me."

How long am I going to have to stay in here? she wondered, hearing Cal move away from the door in front of her, but she still wouldn't go out until she was told she could.

Ember grinned, standing up. "Good. Because we're going to need all the help we can get.." Glancing back, she clapped her hands. "Yo, Ana, you can come out now." Her green eyes flashing mischievously, she now was looking back at the earthbender.

Jacks eyes bulged and he got red in the face. "Ana was here the entire time!?" He wanted to laugh but was extremely nervous on what she would say and do. He thought that Ana wouldn't attack him, but she might be angry or upset with him. Jack tried to fix his hair that he had messed up so he wouldn't look like he was completely shooken up over the past events. Jack needed to look like he was calm and relaxed, for Ana's sake of course.

IC: Ana came out of the room slowly, glancing over to Jack. He had looked a bit spooked, so she had to assure him "I won't hurt you. I promise." with a smile. She still felt a bit uneasy at the thought of him killing her, but she decided to push that feeling away as best as she could. "Now that everyone is here, I can tell you guys what's on my mind." Ana began. She began explaining what she was told about Earth and Water benders close to war, and most likely ending up dragging everyone else into the chaos. "My mom said that if every element was part of the war, something really bad would happen. She never told me what, but I don't really want to find out." The blackette said, looking back and forth between the other three.

Ember listened intently, and even Cal snapped out of his meditation--finally. Her brother got to his feet, going to stand with the others. His bright blue eyes and her green ones focused on Ana as she spoke.
Em gawked, shaking her head. "This sounds really bad..I know if firebenders got involved..it'd be totally chaotic." Cal frowned.
"I dunno..most of my airbender friends..they're all vegetarians, and they don't believe in violence."
Ember shrugged. "You never know, Cal. This could be really, really bad if it got out of hand.."

IC: "No!" Ana yelled. Realizing what she had done, she calmed down and explained. "If something terrible does happen, we might be caught up in it. I've always practiced my fighting since my mother warned me of a time like that and I'm not letting it go to waste." She left out the part of fighting constantly to kill Jack's dad, but she had to focus on the matter at hand. She looked to Ember and asked "What do you think?"
