    Ah, there was no excuse for good ol' prey hunting, huh? Sure, maybe her time could be better spent devouring more books entirely, but hey, hunger is as hunger does. Or something like that. Either way, Kanaya had trotted, almost lopsidedly, back to the castle with four mice dangling from her jaws. She couldn't speak through the tails, but the extra food would be worth it later. She set them down alongside a few other pieces of fresh-kill as she entered, quite literally glowing out of pride.

    The demon's eyes tailed toward the glowing female, cocking an eyebrow. People seemed to be swallowing a lot of glowsticks these days. The vixen sat up, her mouth feeling as if it was glued shut, and padded over. Lacey grumbled under her breath, attempting to prod Kanaya with an obsidian paw. "Um, are you alright?"

    "Hm?" Kanaya looked up at feeling a poke, turning to face the red fox. She didn't appear to notice it herself, simply glad that everything seemed a bit more illuminated. "Oh, yes, why wouldn't I be?" she flicked an ear as though swatting away a fly, taking a seat and neatly tucking her tail between her forepaws, sparing a moment to look Lacey up and down.
