  • "Layla... please think about this carefully. Once you surely make a decision, there's no going back," Ruvel whispered, his eyes looking up at her with a strange, unreadable but strong emotion. It was strange for him to look something more than a hard cold gaze. "With me, a reaper... you won't get much. Are you sure, Layla?? Are you sure??"

  • Layla nodded, a faint smile playing upon her lips. "There's no one I'd rather have me or my soul than you," she responded softly, her eyes sparkling. "I'm sure, Ruvel. I'm more than sure." She said, holding his hand to her cheek with her own, her eyes closing.

  • Ruvel's body tensed a little, but he didn't say any more against it. His head lowered and he looked to the ground. "You're more than sure..." He repeated, as if reassuring himself. Then his head lifted again and he looked directly into her eyes. "Then promise me one thing, that you will never ever stray from my side. Don't go anywhere alone, Layla, not without me." There was a strange desperation in his eyes.

  • "Don't worry," she breathed. "After today, I don't want to go out alone." Layla looked up into his eyes and slowly reached a hand to his face. Her fingers lightly brushed Ruvel's cheek. Then her hand slid to cup his cheek. "You're warm..." she breathed.

  • Ruvel let out a long breath and closed his eyes. His hand went to her hand that was on his cheek and slid it towards his lips, where he gently kissed her fingers delicately. "Warm... am I really??" He muttered, uncertain. "Am I warm?? Am I warm enough to keep you warm??"

  • Layla felt a small shoved run down her spine and a smile spread across her face. "You are," she said softly, slipping forward on the chair she was still sitting on and stared deep into his eyes, her own glittering. She wanted to kiss him, but she was too scared to act.

  • Ruvel nodded slowly, his shoulders relaxing with relief. "Then I'll keep you warm," and he leaned forward towards her as she slid forward, one arm wrapping around her waist and the other hand snaking up to her hair where he gently pulled a strand of hair behind her ear.

  • Layla closed her eyes and leaned into him slowly. "I know you will," she whispered, sliding out of the chair to be closer to him. She wanted to be near him and rested her ear against his chest, listening to his heart beat. Her hand ran down from his cheek to his chest. There, she felt safe. And then her stomach rumbled and her cheeks turned red. "I forgot we didn't eat breakfast." And it was mow lunch time.

  • A smile played on Ruvel's lips, and then a quiet rumble of amusement escaped his throat. "I will cook for you this time if you'll allow me, Layla. I'm... not too good, but I'd like to do something for you."

  • Layla smiled at Ruvel and nodded. "That'd be great," she rumbled softly, raising up to look at his face. "Thank you." Then she rose to her feet, gripping Ruvel's hands and gently tugging him to his feet. She chuckled and embraced him before she ran to her room, gathering up her sketch book and pencil before she returned to the kitchen and sat down at the table, starting another sketch in the book. This time, she drew his hood as well, making the drawing a lot more mysterious. Then she did another, one with him out of the hood, a small shiver running through her body. She seemed to enjoy drawing the Reaper.

  • Ruvel's attention would go back and forth from what he was doing on the stove to Layla over at the table. He would smile at her; just watching her busy with her drawings was enjoyable to watch. He quickly finished up what he was cooking before serving it to her. "I... made something that's a bit easier for me to make," he said quietly as a grunt. He looked a little embarrassed if one studied his face carefully. "I'm not too experienced with this." He had made a fresh salad with an addition of cheese and fish and chips, neatly cut and arranged.

  • Layla chuckled softly and put down her book before she took a bite. "That's good," she mumbled between bites, her face beaming.
    (Day four approaching)

As night drew on, Layla worked on the canvas, having finally chosen a drawing to draw. A yawn escaped her mouth and she put down her pencil, rubbing her eyes as sleep began to take her.

  • (Oh I have my tablet apps on my phone now since I reset it so yay!! Lol. And I chose Ruvel this time around. Strange indeed. He's so weird, acting like he doesn't know me. How rude xD)

Layla leaned against him, her eyes beginning to close, though she fought it. "But..." she was cut off with a long yawn. Soon her eye a closed and she became relaxed in his arms.

  • (Ohhh nice :D Good to hear. And yeaaa Ruvel's kinda like that lolll. He also seems a little bored at times but gawd he is so adorable. <3 )

Ruvel shook his head slowly side to side. "Come on." He gently reached over and took one of her hands. He then came around and helped her out of the chair. "You're tired," he added quietly as he led her towards her bed where he had already pulled back the covers for her.

  • (And diaval made so many advances on me o.o next I choose Latis, just to see what his story is)

As soon as she reached the bed, Layla fell into the soft sheets and grabbed the pillow, snuggling against it. She yawned again. She looked so cute laying there. So innocent....like she would crumble and all that needed to happen for that to happen was Ruvel's touch.

  • (Yeaa I'm actually really curious to see how his would turn out. I think it'll be interesting 0.0 naughty Diaval xD )

"Hm." He chuckled a little as he gently stroked her hair with a hand before walking over to the other side of the room to shut off the lights. He then walked over and sat on the ground, his back leaning against her bed side. For a while Ruvel stared into the darkness of the room as he counted the days that had passed. "Day four," he muttered quietly.

    (morning?? Or...?)

  • (Or what? Lol)

Morning light poured into the house, though Layla was still asleep, innocent and pure. Untainted and unspoiled. She looked so peaceful, laying there still asleep. The drawing on the canvas looked good so far and it wasn't even a painting yet. And it was thanks to the sketches of Ruvel's she'd done in her book.

  • (Loll good question. Idk just making sure loll)

The front door barely made a sound as Ruvel entered the house. He released a quiet sigh as he lifted his hands and lowered his hood. He had fallen asleep soon after Layla had, but some time at around dawn he had woken up and had decided to go for a walk. He immediately made his way up into Layla's bedroom, where a small smile spread across his face as he saw her still asleep. Ruvel walked over and watched her from above as he leaned against the wall, a hand lowering towards her and his fingers just lightly brushing her forehead. He couldn't help but notice how peaceful and beautiful she looked this way.

  • She stirred ever so slightly and a tiny smile spread across her face. She didn't mind his touch, though her face did seem to beam at his soft touch. As she slept, it looked to the reaper as though her soul was able to be seen. So pure.....
