Well, not only humans. Another race, called ghouls, stray on the streets at night. They look just like us humans, and they fit in perfectly. Almost. Ghouls can only eat human flesh, and will die if they don't. There are other ways to slow down the hunger, but it always comes back, somehow. There is an organization of humans called the CCG, which hunt and track down ghouls, and both the ghouls and humans are at constant war. The ghouls the humans are most against, though, is a group called Aogiri Tree, an organized group of ghouls intent on controlling all of the wards that spread through this city.

They are as close to humans as possible: They normally have the same physical appearance and intelligence as a human with the exception of diet, mentality and inner biology. If certain rare conditions are met, ghouls and humans may even be able to have offspring , and a ghoul's organs can be successfully transplanted into a human.


    Due to their feeding habits, ghouls are prosecuted by the CCG.

She wears a small pin in her hair that represents a dried flower, and always has it on. He face is always smiling, and as bright as her personality.
    Personality; Yuno is friendly and cutesy, always trying to impress others. She is often giggling at an inside joke, and takes every opportunity to prove herself. When angry, she will detach from others and pout, and won't forgive anyone for a long time. She has an excellent memory, and she has a great sense of right and wrong. Does she follow it, though? Not even close. She's a trouble maker and rule breaker, but usually gets caught for doing it.
    Past; Yuno' parents were both captured by the CCG when she was six, and she's been living on her own since then, sneaking into houses and buildings to stay the night. Now, she just wants to find someone to stay with forever.

    Asuka usually has her bangs somewhat covering up her bluish silver eyes. Asuka has long black hair that ends at her midback. Asuka is tall and rather skinny, with pale skin. She normally wears darker colors, consisting of a black dress shirt with a thin black jacket on top. No matter what, she is aways wearing her signature red scarf.
    Personality;
    Asuka has a rather 'off' personality. She is a rather odd person, and you wouldn't be wrong if you called her insane. Asuka is a bit cruel when it comes to killing, which can make her seem like a [i]slight     sadist. Asuka is known to binge eat a lot, whether it be human or ghouls. Some people have rumoured that the reason she is insane is because of her cannibalistic antics, but nobody really knows. Asuka is a bit reckless, though can be calm when she needs to be. One second she can be really happy, but the next she can be ticked off. Asuka often has small phases where she's a bit more insane than normal, and Asuka is aware of it, though she is unable to do anything about it. Asuka is a rather intimidating person at first glance, though she has a small hint of being just your average person. If you actually get to know her, Asuka is a very kind and caring person. If she likes you, then you're lucky, because she only has a selection of a few people she likes. Asuka is a rather strong person, both mentally and physically, and can be protective over people she cares about.
    Past;
    Asuka was always alone with her mother in the their small house. She had no idea who her father was, he just kind of vanished, as if he never existed. Her mother would often try to meet new people as Asuka grew up, and when her mother finally found someone she enjoyed, he turned out not to be as everyone thought he was. Asuka would often go outside to roam around, and whenever she came back she would see new bruises and scars on her mother's arm. One day Asuka came home from one of her roaming sessions, and came back to hear female screaming, and then there was the sound of someone being knocked against something before it stopped. Asuka, though she was at a young age of 9, knew what was happening. She took the time to get away while she could.
    Asuka has been living on her own since then. She would often quietly watch how other ghouls fought, and then began training herself, though she wasn't too good at it at first. Part of the reason she survived was because often other ghouls would take pity on her since she was young, so they would give her small bits of their food.
