    Thinking about Onyx's question; Kodi gradually came to a stop at a stable-looking house. "I think this would be okay for now." He said listening for any rebutes, "I don't know about you all
    But I could use something to eat. Onyx why don't you take a run around to see if you can find anything, take whoever wants to go. Until then i'm sure some of us need rest." he finished directing the last part on Kaylee, Celeste and Hunter.

    Lucy stopped her ears perked forward at the soft clicking of nails ahead of them she looked over at Ketsu. The slightly larger male growled softly looking over at her tossing his head forward meaning proceed with caution. The two slipped low to the ground if ever they looked like wolves it was now slowly as they rounded a bit of jutting street they spotted a small group of dogs. Most of which seemed injured. her eyes moved to Ketsu again as he gave a small huff like sigh glancing down at her before nodding. the pair moved out from behind their hiding spot slowly approaching the little group of dogs Lucy speaking first. Her soft voice a strange pairing for the females muscular build and sleek wolf like looks Though she wasn't sure what to say. "...Hello? are you alright over there?" her voice echoed off the city walls making it seem louder than it was.

    Onyx looked around, "Anybody wanna go on a run with me? We could race!! I absolutely love racing!!" She ran in a circle. She looked at the wolf-looking dogs and smiled, barking a greeting. "Hiya! I'm Onyx!"


    Kaylee let out an exhausted sigh and limped up the short flight of stairs to the porch and lay down. The sable Border Collie was panting as she listened to the triumphant howls a distance away.


    The pack was celebrating their victory, even though it wasn't a very fair battle. Some pranced around what little of the dogs were left, snapping at each others' tails and back legs. Others were howling to the skies. A few of the others were fighting each other over who was the best and strongest.

    Kodi jumped slightly on the inside when he heard a new voice. Without knowing why, he was beginning to grow frightened. Not for himself, but for the rest of them. Like there was something just waiting to happen. But thankfully it wasn't going to now, as from the question it seemed they weren't here to fight. He turned to see two sleek looking figures, shadowed in the beginning of a sunset. "We've been worse." he called back, knowing it wasn't exactly true, while gradually approaching them.
    "And you?" he asked back, stopping a few feet from them.

    Bandit padded through the broken city, his mind set on one goal.... to shelter. He could sense there was something evil in the city and it seemed to be getting bigger and closer at the same time, and he really didn't want it to catch up with him. He looked up at the darkening sky, his dark brown eyes narrowing in anger as the temperature began to plummet. He knew how cold it could get at night in this city-- in some cases even below 0° F. He couldn't risk freezing.. he had to find somewhere warm..

    Ketsu looked up at the tall and large approaching dog stepping in front of his sister ever so slightly while his naturally dark and rumbling voice rolled out of his throat. "Same... Just looking for shelter really..." The almond shaped eyes looked the tall daunting male over unsure of how to feel daunted and scared no nor angry so maybe it was relief? Yes that was it relief they were friendly. " How are you guys fairing out here? food wise I mean." The dark eyes looked around him at the slender dogs his ears perked forward with curiosity at them, both he and his sister carried quiet a bit of the goat still in their stomachs and would be more than willing to give it up for the younger dogs in the group before them After all both he and Lucy were accomplished hunters by nature so finding themselves another meal after feeding these were no trouble.

    Lucy smiled softly stepping forward now at ketsu's side as she looked up at the tall male. 'If you would like we can offer you food... granted it may not be the best but it is something... Just think of it as payment for offering us shelter." (Just so you know this next part is gross but normal behavior for wild dogs) She arched her head and forced back up the still fresh looking goat meat a action soon fallowed by ketsu as well both dogs backed up lowering their heads in a submissive and respectful fashion.


    Ketsu smiled softly or well as softly as his strong muzzle would allow. "Please take it, me and my sister can catch something else later, by the looks of you you guys need it far more than us." this wasn't a lie really the wolf looking dog breed was always well muscled and rarely looked slim even when starving as their thick double coats hid it well. Though at the moment it seemed the two had been fortunate and lucky able to feed their hunger and keep their bodies well muscled during these lean times.

    Ace head snapped to the sound of laughter, it soon dying out. Her fur bristled and muscles tensed up. Her gaze shifted around the area surrounding her, an uncomfortable feeling bubbling up in her. A small barley audible rumble sounded in her chest.

    Kodi nodded gratefully before signaling to the group that it was safe. Most, at the smell of food more than likely, rushed over to check it out. He allowed everyone else to eat. Being the huge dog he was, Kodi carried more energy and was used to not eating regularly. The noises in the distance sounded closer, more audible. Like loud menacing laughter, coming from who knows what.

    The calm mellow siblings watched the small pack eat before looking at the sound of laughter their pointed ears flicked back slightly. Ketsu huffed softly sniffing the wind that came to him it carried many dogs scent one of which was closer than the others. "I am afraid we should be moving soon I can't say I am favoring the wind..." Lucy nodded feeling the hackles at the nap of her neck just barely lift with slight fear. Despite the breeds muscular bad dog looks both were slightly skittish and constantly on high alert unless in a confined area with one entrance and three walls.

    With ease ketsu fell to the back of the small pack his eyes watching each of the other dogs closely so none fell behind. These herding actions felt rather normal for him taking care of those who were weaker. Lucy however trotted at the tall males side at point looking up at him. "Have you checked north ave yet? I am sure the houses there might be more stable than these on the south border of the city as they are older built and closer together give a sound structuring." her ears flicked back slightly as she looked at the broken road in front of them. "Ketsu and me had a house out that way with a few longpaws... unfortunately being further into the city there isn't much food but plenty of long paw shops with broken doors and clear stone."

    Kodi listened to the fae's words, although he really didn't know what she was talking about. He decided that just about everyone here knew more of the city then he did. Another reason why he was confused about being choice leader. "I'm at a disadvantage since I'm not from here, but I trust you to lead us to safety." he told her, hoping that he was making the right choice.

    (Hey guys, changing Kaylee's look a bit-- she's still a sable Border Collie but now she's black shaded, too..)


    Kaylee stayed back from the food, deciding both that the other dogs needed it more and she wasn't about to eat a pile of goat meat another dog had already eaten once. Sure, it was a bit natural, but she didn't like the idea. She realized they had quickly decided they were all leaving and huffed something nobody could hear before getting to her paws as best she could. She then limped back down so she was back with the group and tried to keep up as they moved.


    Onyx, being the spoiled pup she was, refused to eat the pre-eaten goat meat. "I don't eat vomit," she murmured and took a step back to allow the others to eat it. When they all gather up to start moving, she was near the front.


    Bandit perked his ears, shivering slightly. His fur wouldn't keep him warm for long and he knew it. He sped up, wanting to reach his Box fast. His 'Box' was a large cardboard box he had lived in since he was 4 months; he stumbled upon it during a rainy day three months ago. He turned down an alleyway and walked on. There it was.. laying in the back of a dead-end alleyway with a blanket draped over it and towels lining the inside. The German Shepherd ran forward and dived in, snuggling up to the softest blue one in the back.

    She looked up at him with gentle eyes before giving a small nod. After three or four blocks she turned down a road leading them slightly deeper into the city her eyes looking up at the tall buildings her ears perked forward as she spotted what appeared to be a mostly together short stacked shop standing with only seven or six clear stones broken eagerly she climb the steps and pushed at the door, locked. With a small grunt she backed up before running forward slamming into it making the door cry slightly as it swung open. Her long tail wagged as she looked back with a smile. "Its a long paw shop my owner brought us here before above it is a three or two room house," Her ears perked forward as she went inside sniffing around. the scents of dog food, chew toys, flea collars, and beds reached her like a welcome home, still these she passed going up a dark set of stairs to the apartment above, with a quick look around and a small series of sniffs she knew they were gone along with every other creature that had been there. slowly she turned around going back down to the others. "Its empty and only slightly damaged from the looks of it."

    Kodi followed relentlessly through the large city. It was exactly as Lassie had described if not bigger. It grew dark by the time they stopped at the tall building. Kodi waited while the two searched it and gathered the group together. "I trust these new dogs and hope that you can too. We will stay here for the night, it looks pretty stable which is what we need right now." he stated, trying to assure everyone that they'll all be okay. When Lucy came back down, kodi bounded towards her. "We'll have to take shifts at the exit."He says motioning for everyone to enter the building.

    Ketsu who had been at the back of the group looked over the two others his eyes eventually falling on the border collie. A small frown tugged at his muzzle as he thought something dark but common for dogs who had already begun to adjust to this new situation. 'She won't last long...' Still as he realized what they had come to he stopped for but a moment looking back up at the place. Lucy hadn't lied their long paws had gone there a lot, considering that was where the two met them. He entered the building behind his sister the familiar scents relaxing and daunting. Still he wen t with her sitting on the stoop watching her talk to the large male before looking up at the sky. The ice like wind made him shiver not with cold as his double thick fur made him resilient, but at the sweet milk like memories it brought him.



    Lucy dipped her head. "Alright, the stair well leads to three or four rooms at the tip with a wide space it looks pretty empty but I am sure there are more than enough things to lay on." Her eyes moved to Ketsu as he seemed to be come lost in the night sky. "If you would like I can take the first shift..."
