[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]OOC: I hope Gorsepaw is prepared to have his heart broken.
I thought he was going to be with Littlepaw anyway?IC: As always Lavenderbloom was working in her den, tidying up the place and organizing her herb supply. She was way too worried about keeping track of the amounts and placement but in her mind it was better to be over-prepared. That and it provided a wonderful distraction for all of her crazy thoughts now that her sister was pregnant. It seemed she was catching kit fever, but as a medicine cat that idea was completely out of the question. She couldn't have a mate or kits, no matter how badly she longed for both.[/fancypost]

I know. Just take it slow. Actually Littlepaw is going to be with Toothpaw.
Coming back from getting cobwebs and horsetail he padded into the den. "Hwher." He said.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]The medicine cat turned her head to see Gorsepaw returning with many cobwebs hanging from his pelt as well as horsetail stalks delicately carried in his mouth, just as she had showed him. "Thank you so much! I was starting to get low," she meowed, padding over to gratefully retrieve the supplies he brought. With so many injured lately she needed to keep up, and those two items were extremely important for keeping most wounds in check. Since she still didn't have an apprentice she was very glad to have the tom there to help pick up the extra slack.[/fancypost]

He purred "No problem. I was going to collect lavender leaves. But I thought about showing you where I found them." He suggested.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]"Lavender? This late in leaf-bare?" The medicine cat was genuinely confused, though she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to keep up with her stores. Gorsepaw had never steered her in the wrong direction before so she had faith in his word. "I suppose stepping out of camp for a little while wouldn't hurt," she meowed, looking around her den for a moment before nodding. "Okay, lead the way!" She didn't want to be gone too long in case any of her Clanmates needed her service, but lavender was always a good plant to have around. If she and Gorsepaw went together they could carry twice as much back to camp.[/fancypost]
-
"Follow me." He called before dashing out of camp and through the forest past the creek then near the Ancestor stone he stepped back and padding around it to where the lavender plants were. "Here they are."
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]She was surprised when he started running off like that, struggling to keep up with the warrior in training as he dashed out of camp. Gorsepaw led the medicine cat through the forest and into the deeper part of the territory, a place she knew very well. The Ancestor Stone loomed overhead, it's entire structure covered in mossy patches. The trees here grew so thickly together that hardly any snow covered the earth, leaving the ground open to a few plants here and there. Lavenderbloom padded over to the herbs she was named after, her eyes twinkling happily. "Thank you, Gorsepaw. This will help so much," she meowed, snapping a few of the plants from their stems. She didn't take them all though, wanting to make sure there would always be some growing there.[/fancypost]
-
"No problem." He said adding a purr "I'll be a warrior soon. I just hope he doesn't name me something like Gorsepoppy or Gorseflower."
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]The medicine cat couldn't help but laugh a bit at this, understanding his worries. She had wondered too what her name would be but that decision had been Willowthorn's, not the leaders. However, she did really like the name given to her, even though it had to wait until... Well, she didn't want to think about the flood right now. "Graystar always comes up with the perfect names. I promise you'll be okay," she assured him with a smile, though the thought of a name like Gorsepoppy did amuse her.[/fancypost]

-LATER AFTER HIS CEREMONY-
Gorsebelly bounded over "Lavenderbloom! I'm Gorsebelly no more Gorsepaw." He called happily.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]It had been a few days since their conversation about his warrior name. Lavenderbloom had of course come to his ceremony, proudly cheering his new name along with his mentor Fadedwing. "So I've heard," the pale tabby she-cat purred, her light green eyes sparkling in amusement. Although she wasn't close with many cats side from Lilyshine, Gorsebelly was certain an exception. She rather enjoyed the tom's company for he was always such a kind friend. "Congratulations on becoming a warrior, Gorsebelly. You definitely deserve it!"[/fancypost]
-
"Thanks Lavenderbloom!" He said before nuzzling her shoulder.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]Lavenderbloom blinked in surprise by the sudden contact but said nothing of it, returning the nuzzle with a purr. She and Gorsebelly were very close friends after all so there was nothing unusual about the affection, right? It seemed that the medicine cat was the only one in the Clan that didn't realize the extent of Gorsebelly's true feelings. Was it denial or did she genuinely not see it? It was truly unclear, and no one else dared bring the matter into light. "So, are you looking forward to having your own apprentice? I'm sure Graystar will assign you one soon!" she meowed, deciding to continue their conversation.[/fancypost]
-
"Yeah. And I know Fadedwing taught me all her skills. So I'll teach the cat all the skills she taught me. I just wish it won't be a spoiled one there the hardest to train." He explained.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]"I'm sure you'll be a good mentor no matter the challenge," Lavenderbloom meowed with a laugh, trying to imagine her friend training a bratty kit. "Maybe you'll have one of Tanglecrow's kits to train. It'll be awhile until they are born or even ready for a mentor, but it's always a possibility," she continued, thinking of the scruffy queen. Now those kits would certainly be a challenge if they were anything like their parents. Between Nightclaw's endless grump and Tanglecrow's harshness they would surely give any mentor a hard time.[/fancypost]
-
"I would like to see how they turn out. Maybe a cat who is training with the dark forest." Gorsebelly hinted.
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]"The Dark Forest? Why on earth would you want them to be training with them?" Lavenderbloom asked in sudden shock, a bit put off by the idea. It was common knowledge how awful those cats were and the medicine cat wanted nothing to do with them at all. She blinked her light green eyes at the tom for a few more seconds, unsure where that comment had even come from. Did he happen to know about Sweetflash too? She had caught her training in her dreams one evening but no one else knew about that, not even Graystar yet.[/fancypost]
-
Gorsebelly flicked his tail "I don't. And Lavenderbloom, you should go check on Cloverkit. And if you want to know the cats who do train I'll be happy to tell you."
-
[fancypost bgcolor=#; border: 0px; width: 350px; letter-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; font-family: arial; font-size: 8pt;]Cloverkit? Was something wrong with him? "He isn't training in The Dark Forest too, is he?" she asked in a small, worried voice. The young tom had so much potential despite his unusable limb. He was a determined little kit, and if he was wrapped up in a mess like that... She'd want to do as much as she could to help him out of that situation. "Take me to Cloverkit, please. We can talk more about the... The Dark Forest on the way." It was almost painful speaking about the evil place, especially after she had dreamed of them that night. Willowthorn had led her to Sweetpaw, something she refused to speak about with anyone.[/fancypost]
