  • Mazis narrowed his eyes and waited to pass another hotel, finally he found a bunch of them, right near the shore. Perfect. He thought with a grin, slowly folding his wings and started dive bombing towards the roof of the building.

  • Mazis quickly spread his wings back out as he came about 12 feet away from his landing spot, he gave a few beats and dropped onto the building roof.

  • Pluto arched her wings out, the silvery feathers shining under the full moon. Her wings cought the wind like a parachute, and she 'floated' down, landing gracefully on the roof. "so, what now?" She asked him, the exaustion greatly audible in her voice.

  • "I dunno..."
Mazis said with a shrug, scratching the back of his head awkwardly.
    "Man, it's loud here."
He said, putting his arms behind his head.

  • Pluto folded her wings in and curled up akwardly on the ground, "Im tired." She mumbled.

  • "Yeah, cause I'm sure everyone wouldn't notice two winged kids on their porch sleeping.
Mazis said, looking down below. It was pretty, stone walls, the sidewalk below was the some pattern as the walls, the pool was blue tiled but in the center it had a huge black phoenix symbol, then all the way up the building were porches with black metal fences. From the top of the building, you could see people still roaming the beaches, carrying flash lights and buckets. There would be an occasional shout saying, "Got one!" or, "Found one!". Mazis felt relaxed with this place, but he knew that they couldn't stay long.

... Ugh... Just writing about that place makes me want to yell at my parents to start packing... We go to this place every year somewhere in the fall, and wee've had the same room four times in a row! ;D So it's home away from home...

  • Pluto blinked as Mazis talked, "Well yeah. Maybe we could get some money and get a room? That was we wont be breaking the laws and we can have a mice place to stay.." She suggested.

  • [align=center]"There's no way we could pay for a place like this."
Mazis said, shaking his head. There a little thought came to him, and he snapped his fingers with a smile.
I know how to pick a lock, do you have some hair pins or something?"
    He asked, looking at Pluto.

  • "Maybe, i have no idea. I hope i do, but its doubtful." Pluto mumbled as she ran her fingers through her black hair, and a frown placed itself across her lps. "Sorry...wait!" Her eyes grew wide as her hand went to the back of her shirt and in seconds she held her hand out, a safety pin in her hand. Her shirt now hung on her small frame loosely.

  • "Well, they're temporary rooms... Plus, we're constantly being followed by Erasers."
Mazis said, looking down at the kids who were racing across the shadowy beach.

  • "You asked for a bobby pin. All i have is a safety pin, you said you needed one?" Pluto asked, and blinked.

  • [align=center]OMG! ERASER EMOTICON!!!

"Oh, right. I think I saw an opening in the front wall. Let's go!"
Mazis said, taking the pin and leaping off the edge and going a "quark screw" glide down. He noticed that all of the floors where kinda outdoors, There was an elevator, and next to both of them were glass windows, very large ones too. Kinda a danger thing, but take your chances. He thought, making a little face. Each of the floors also had opening in all of them, so he could just pick any of them. The top floors probably flooded with people, so... I'm going to thirteen! He thought, giving a beat and he tucked in his wings and slipped through the large hole.

  • Pluto nodded and went into a nosedive, snapping her wings out at the last minuete as her now bággy shirt flopped this way and that, and she landed with a thump on her feet. "Thirteen? Nice." She said quietly as she tucked a stray lock of hair behind her head, a smile faint on her lips.

  • [align=center]"Superstitious idiots don't come here, so it isn't as crowded. But the hotel people changed it to fourteen. Either way, people still shy away from a thirteenth floor."
Mazis explained, walking over to a door and putting his ear against it listening for any breathing or TV.

  • Pluto whispered, "Here." She was balencing on a doorknob with one foot, her left eye peering backwards into a peephole, and she lept lightly off the doorknob, her feet making barely a sound as she landed. If you looked at the peephole, it looked as if someone had thrown a peice of dry ice at it, for the glass was not there any longer, but the edges were ice. "There no one home." She said quietly.
