"Well, there is one tawny owl, but it only flies out at night, so you don't have to worry about getting eaten." Reedsplash said.

"t..They can eat cats?" she mewed , edging away from the tree.

"Well, kits and sometimes small apprenties; but never a full grown warrior." Reedsplash said.

"oh how awful!" she mewed sadly

"Well, it rarely happens." Reedsplash said.

Can you take me some where else now?" she mewed hurriedly, not wanting to take her chances with the owl.

"Sure," Reedslash said. "How about the tallpines?" he offered the she-cat.

AshHeart trotted after him.

"Here we are!" Reedsplash said when they arrived at Tallpines.

"How far do you think I could climb up?" she mewed as she scrabbled up a tree, reaching the first branch.

"I don't know," Reedsplash said. "But be carful, if you fall from a great height, you could get injured!"

"dont worry, I'll be fine" she mewed as she scrambled up to the to "come up, you can see the whole terriotory!" she mewed persuasively.

Reedsplash climbed the other tree. "Wow! You're right! Hey, Ashheart, I want to ask you somthing." Reedsplash said.

"what?" she mewed hopefully as she stared into his eyes trying not to forget that she was in a tree and that if she relaxed her claws she would slide off the ice-smooth slippery branches.

"So, I like you. I want to know if you want to be mates?" Reedsplash asked shyly.
