Morningpaw licked her soft cream coloured fur in smooth strokes. She had become an apprentice yesterday but there had been no decision on her mentor yet, as Morningpaw looked around the clearing she saw cat bustling about. I wonder who will be my mentor... She thought. Gazing around, she shuddered as she saw Lionstripe, his golden striped pelt rippled as he paced around and his amber eyes flashed. I hope it's not Lionstripe.... Morningpaw thought. Lionstripe was the toughest mentor she could get and she shuddered at the thought.

Dustyfoot stood in the sunlight with the perfect posture and his eyes gleamed in the sunlight. Then he strode to the fresh kill pile and picked a small mouse. He then went to sit in the shade of high rock and eat his meal.

Nightpaw settled down beside her. "It's better not to worry, I'm sure a good apprentice wil get a good mentor." He soothed. Whitepaw snorted. "Yeah, if that's true then why did I get Tarnishclaw?" She growled. Nightpaw had amusement gleaming in his sea blue eyes. "That means your a bad apprentice." He me owed to his sister. "Morningpaw, it's ok you don't have to worry."
