    True, and in some cases, some don't have a humanoid shape. Hewie used to be a shinigami, but now that he is bound to Ellie, he lost that power and now basically causes mischief. He will be passed down from generation to generation unless the Death Note is somehow destroyed. He is sorta like Aiden from Beyond Two souls.
