[ ic.][font=color] the days had merged and he didn't know when the days ended or began, his life was meaningless and his life's work had amounted to nothing. that is how he felt when he had returned to his homeland to find his Elven Elk herd deceased and nothing left but rotting carcasses and lost dreams. The ex-king had felt such a sadness, it swept over him like a rain cloud on a sunny day - destroying all happiness that could have been there but of course the rain had come. tis a pity, he withdrew, not eating and doing nothing but wandering the lonely mountain as if he would soon catch his own death. it was not a depression, or maybe it was, but thranduil had simply waved it off as his mourning for his kin. it was when he finally couldn't help fending off sleep when it hit him full force, and when waking the next day; a need, a strong incredible desire to make his kin and former herd proud with his acts.
so, he left.
left his kingdom.
his home.
his culture.
for something that might be greater than it all, to tackle the unknown and conquer in, that was his home - no, that is his hope. the Eurasian elk looked to the night sky, his hooves planted deep in the powdery snow as thoughts of his people swept forward.
