IC: So Zant had claimed a body for himself out of the territory, kicking the original owner for good, pretty much killing him. He was elated that his 'god' had resurrected him again, and he allowed this 'god' to possess his body. He was going to be doing the dirty work that Zant had failed to do. The large dog had made sure to thoroughly hide his scent (but let's be honest, the snow would have made it hard anyway) before gathering his crew of demon possessed henchme- cats or whatever and slinking towards the frozen river of the Colony. They had all hidden their scents and worn masks, but Zant was the only one without a mask. He had a black cape instead because capes were totally bomb.
The lightest cat in the group went onto the ice and pinned a scrap of paper onto the ice with something shiny, which wasn't important. Just as long as the parchment didn't fly away. He then jumped on and clawed at the ice a few times and darted off. Now, they had to wait.
The 'god,' Ganondorf (but that sounded like a troll's name so he just went by Ganon) wore no facial expression when he spotted Twilightprincess happen by. They could celebrate later.
Something caught the speckled snowferra's eye as she passed by the river. Did someone drop something on the ice? She took off her helmet and placed it by the roots of a tree before stepping onto the ice and inching towards the thing. A couple weird objects (forks, okay?) were holding down a paper which read
[glow=red,2,300]Why do you defy your king?[/glow]
[color=aqua]Her eyes narrowed and she immediately took a defensive stance when she saw a couple masked toms get on the ice and stop only a few tail-lengths away from her. They formed a sort of circle around her and starting slamming their paws down on the ice.
Shoot.
That note had just been a distraction.
She spied an unfamiliar dog stand on the riverbank observe her helm with seemingly mild interest before putting it on and eyeing her with a hidden smugness. He turned his back on her and looked on towards the forest. He seemed to be keeping watch for his buddies.
Twili tried to suddenly dart away from the toms, but there were too many of them. Some would keep slamming at the ice while she was grabbed and tossed back in the center like the piece of trash she was, or so they thought.
Crack!
The ice kept on cracking until the masked cats had a ragged hole between them all. One of them grabbed Twili's scruff before dunking her back in the water repeatedly. She was being kept on the brink of drowning and living. She knew for sure that she had been completely soaked by the paralyzingly freezing water. She was too cold- and at this moment, too stiff and disoriented- to react until the toms let go of her. She randomly waved her claws around until she caught the edge of the ice hole. She knew if she didn't, she would be trapped underneath that ice and would surely die there as well. The toms and the dog were retreating. He had signaled them because a small patrol of NPCs were happening by. The NPCs soon came across Twili barely hanging onto the ice, and a few carefully padded over and pulled her soaking wet figure out of the water.
Twilightprincess had developed a mild sickness over the next couple of days, which quickly turned worse, as expected. She had taken the liberty of quarantining herself in an old badger den with some blankets. Feverfew wouldn't be enough at this point, and she was hacking up a storm just then. Her coughing had calmed a little, and she was lightly wheezing as she tried breathing normally for once. She was wrapped up in those blankets in the den, separating herself from the rest of the Colony so no one else would get sick. Oh, yeah, and her helmet was gone. Only the piece she always wore. At least she had the other pieces back at her tree den.
Someone get this girlie some chicken soup.[/fancypost]
