  • OOC: Please don't post in black.. I can't read it. Also Sam, Ashley, Joshua, and Jemma are searching houses in close knit neighborhood.

IC: Sam nods and walks outside. "Which house next?" She asked as she continued to walk, hoping he'd say that was enough for today and they'd go take shelter or something.

OOC: Oh so sorry, I completely forgot to change it.

Sasha was crouched behind a red Toyota, his dark eyes watching the two figures as they walked out of the house across the street. His fingers were curled around the worn, black handle of his combat knife and he took a quick look at the house behind him. Fallon was sure to be in there somewhere gathering supplies while he played look out. After a moment, he turned his attention back to the people, one girl, one boy. He didn't automatically assume they were a threat but he kept his grip on his combat knife tight just in case.

    Fallon

Fallon shoved a couple of cans of beans into her backpack before silently slipping out the backdoor of the quaint house she and Sasha had just been raiding. Or at least she had been raiding. After finding that the previous owners had left practically all their belongings, Fallon had graciously gathered up useful bits of clothing and cans of food before quietly heading back to Sasha's look out point. She heard the two others before she saw them and pressed herself up against the shadowed side of the house as she caught the first syllables of their words: "Which house next?" She stole a glance and saw two figures walking out of a house across the street, one boy and one girl. The next moment, she saw Sasha crouched behind a red pick-up truck, his knife in his hand and his attention focused on the strangers. Fallon didn't dare signal Sasha with one of the many bird calls they had been taught so instead, when she was sure the two people weren't looking in their direction, she silently rushed across the short lawn and ducked behind the Toyota, her breathing quick as she crouched beside Sasha. He nodded slightly to her as he felt her presence beside him, his eyes never leaving the two figures across the street.

  • Tanaka reacts to movement within next to the house that the arrogant girl and one of the smokers went to. He re-situates himself in the tree for a closer look. " Damn wish I was younger, my eyes....." He says taking off his glasses to clean them. He squints as he puts his glasses back on. All he could see where shuffling humanoid figures crouched behind a red car.... or truck Tanaka wasn't very good with cars. Still something had breached the perimeter without anyone else noticing. Tanaka puts his right index finger and thumb into his mouth and lets out a very loud whistle like calling a taxi and proceeds to silently climb down from the tree he had been hiding in. Knowing that his position is compromised and that it most likely attracted every Dead One nearby he thought he would do the responsible thing and plan decoy..... right after he investigating those figures. Tanaka slowly and silently makes his way to the figures' last know position. Remembering their position and never entering the potential line of sight. When he gets there he sees the man and woman and, his left hand holding the katana, placed his right hand on the handle.

  • Joshua was about to say something until he heard the whistle. He shot up with his rifle at the ready. "Jemma, I need you to pull out your gun. I know you don't want to and I hate to ask, but I really need you to hold it at least and follow me," he said, walking outside. He looked around for the threat and saw the two behind the truck. "Are you going to be a problem?" Joshua asked plainly, his rifle lowering slightly.

As soon as the whistle hit Ashley's ears, he yanked out his pistol and looked around quickly. He saw Joshua walk outside and bring his rifle up, aiming somewhere up his side of the street. Ashley was slightly confused when Joshua lowered his rifle.

  • Jemma furrows her eyebrows as shakily she pulls out the gun and holds it in front of her. She knew good and well how to hold and use one of these things, but.. Hates them none the less.

  • Sam doesn't pull out her gun but holds her knife up in defense, looking around. That whistle will certainly be a dinner call for the Dead ones. "Ashley.." She says, her tone warning. "That will attract attention.." She said lowly, her voice hard and her lips pressed in a hard line.

  • Jesse walked forward, approaching the neighborhood. He pulled out the cross bow, loading a bolt into it as he done so. "Only take what you need." He said to himself, unaware of the people who where there. "Get in, get out, keep movin." He began to jog forward to the first house, again unaware of the others nearby.

  • "I know. We figure out what the problem is, then we leave," Ashley said with a sigh as he walked towards the red Toyota.

  • Sam sees something run in the corner of her eye and she turns to look at it. A man? She thought then saw him run into the house Ashley and her had just been in. Good luck with that. Its empty bro. She thought to herself then turned around and followed behind Ashley, but kept a good distance in case things got messy.

  • Jesse looked around the abandoned home, keeping the crossbow infront of him. After seeing that there was no one in here, he began searching, though it was not for food, it was more or less for parts, he grabbed the oven and began to pull it apart, taking any tubing, valves, and wires. He done the same with other machines in the home, stuffing the parts into his bag, making it grow heavier. "Alright." He said, running though the blueprints in his head. "I need at least something to hold it together..." He again looked at the oven and took the outer casing, bending it into a carryable item. He ran out of the house, and began to run to the next, though not to the door but to the car.

Sasha looked up from his surveillance as the whistle interrupted the silence. He silently shifted his weight and a moment later he was facing Fallon, "Fallon," he breathed his eyes darting to the road behind her and she nodded, understanding that the whistle had come from the right of the Toyota. A second later, Fallon's eyes shifted to something behind Sasha. "Sasha," Her voice was barely audible and Sasha quietly turned his head to see that the boy they had seen earlier was approaching the red pick-up. He swore inaudibly and gripped his knife tighter, his stance balanced and athletic as he watched the boy, his heart pounding in his ears as adrenaline began to bubble in his blood.

    Fallon

Fallon quietly unholstered one of her handguns, her blue eyes bright as they watched the boy's shadow grow larger with each step toward the red Toyota. Her warrior's stance matched Sasha's and she held herself with the confidence of a trained fighter. Her hand was wrapped tightly around the grip of the handgun and her pointer finger rested lightly on the trigger, one twitch of her finger would send a bullet flying from the compact weapon.

  • Tanaka notices the tense nature between those two. He didn't want the boy to be hurt so he steps out from behind the tree line of those two hiding behind the red truck. " My name is Tanaka, if you point your weapons at me you will lose them." I warn then give them a warm smile. " I and that boy mean you no harm." Tanaka said closing the distance slowly. While he couldn't kill them at this range he would get their weapons.

If Sasha felt any surprise at seeing Tanaka, nothing in his face or body position showed it. He kept a passive expression as he watched the man, but he made sure to keep an ear on the approaching boy, his hand still wrapped tightly around the handle of his combat knife. He heard the slight rustle of fabric on pavement as Fallon turned so her back was to the Toyota and she was facing Tanaka, her body position remained one of a warrior, her handgun casually pointed near Tanaka but not directly at him, as if she dared him to make a wrong move that would result in her squeezing the small plastic trigger. She looked relaxed but Sasha knew that she was just waiting to spring like a tiger at the sign of any true threats. He kept his eyes on Tanaka and after a moment he spoke, his voice was warm and low, and held a slight Eastern European accent to it. "I wouldn't threaten us if I were you," He said, a light, yet emotionless smile playing on his lips. "But trust me when I say that other than the Dead Ones, we don't see many others as threats," his smile vanished and his dark eyes were cold. A second later he felt a rhythm of soft taps on the back of his unoccupied hand and he gave an almost unnoticeable nod to Fallon as he got the message loud and clear: Whistler

    Fallon

Fallon's morse code was quick and clean before she repositioned herself with both her hands on her handgun's grip, one on top of the other. Her blue eyes were ablaze with the thought of a fight and her heart pounded in her chest excitedly. She kept her face calm but her muscles seemed to scream, frustrated at her for restricting their access to her professionally trained arsenal of hand-to-hand combat techniques. Guns were fun, but only at a distance. Both the man Tanaka and the boy from the house were getting closer by the second and her compact Glock wouldn't be much use in a minute or so. But, she made sure to not make a move until she and Sasha agreed on the best tactic for this situation, she was ready to pounce and when the time came, she wouldn't hold back.

  • Joshua held his rifle low, but at the ready as he approached the red Toyota. He stopped a few feet away and looked at Sasha and Fallon. "I suggest you listen to Doc. I'm guessing we're doing the same thing. We don't want to hurt you. We don't want to take anything from you, either. Now, are you going to be a problem?"

Ashley walked around the opposite end of the truck, his pistol held in the same manner as Joshua's. "So these two were the reason you whistled, Doc? " he asked, not taking his eyes of Sasha and Fallon.

  • Tanaka held his katana in his left hand and watched the two carefully. He nodded to Ashley confirming that they were the reason he gave the signal. " I'm sorry if I sounded rude, but with that gear and mannerisms it's painfully obvious your professionally trained so I didn't want to take chances and go for a blitz attack that could end in my injury." Tanaka said with a calm and formal tone that had become habit after so many years. " So better to announce myself and avoid the fight altogether. Now that whistle of mine just alerted not only my group but no doubt a horde of Dead ones. So we can stand here making empty threats while your being surrounded or we can make a deal and settle this without bloodshed." Tanaka said with a change is his tone. After noticing the woman's gun he placed went to place his hand on the hilt of his blade then decided that it would seem like an act of aggression. " So make your choice." He said now standing a few feet away from both of them now. Both within the range of his blade now, but Tanaka didn't want to risk it as he wasn't sure how much his abilities had rusted with age.

  • Sam watches the scene cautiously, though she wouldn't dare speak nor move any close to the two behind the truck. She kept her distance at a nice 5ft. We are going to die..all because that idiot whistled. Sam..you should just take off and leave. Go take cover. We both know that whistle attracted Dead Ones. Her mind seemed to tell her, she swore she was about as crazy as someone who was sick, seeing as she talked to herself. Sam sighed lightly and looked around, paying to attention to the people behind the truck as she spotted Dead ones headed from the East and West headed their way. It looked like two sizable groups. "Guys. Dead Ones. 30 Clicks." She said, not noticing the military language she had used.

  • Fallon

Sasha rose from his fighter's crouch and opened his mouth to say something to the two boys but quickly closed it as Fallon cut him off, "Are we going to have a problem?" She said, raising quickly yet gracefully from her own balanced crouch, like some sort of deadly dancer, her blue eyes still blazing, "Well we will if you don't back off,"
"Fallon," Sasha's voice held a note of warning but Fallon ignored him as she stared down Joshua. Her sharp gaze snapped to Ashley and she took a step forward, unholstering her second handgun and raising them both in the direction of Joshua and Ashley.
"Fallon," Sasha's voice was louder now and not as warm as it had been.
"What?" Fallon snapped, her smile disappeared but her eyes never left Ashely's face.
Sasha took a step toward Fallon and murmured something in her ear. A moment later he stepped back, a smile on his own face and she gave a slight nod as a slow, dangerous smile blossomed on her lips and she lowered her guns, "Of course, I'm so sorry, where are my manners. My name is Fallon and this is Sasha and we are so terribly sorry for crashing your tea party here. Now, if the girl is right," She had overheard Sam, "Then we are probably in mortal danger and it would be much better for us to slaughter something that is sure to kill us rather than waiting to find out if we will all kill each other," Her voice held a slightly mocking tone but her eyes darkened when she mentioned the Dead Ones.

  • Tanaka smiles, " I couldn't agree more. Now let's leave before we get surrounded by the dead ones." I say walking past them making no sudden or threatening movements. " I'd rather avoid getting bitten twice in one lifetime." Tanaka muttered as he checked for a way out. " Where are the Dead Ones coming from Sam?"

  • OOC: I know.

IC: Sam sighs then turns away from everyone and jogs off in the opposite direction of the Dead Ones. I. Am. So. Dead. She thought to herself and picked up the pace and started running, not caring to look back as she ran. Once she'd come back to the original point of where she was before, she slides underneath the rusted taxi, her hand clutching her knife tightly.

  • Ashley frowned when they had whispered to each other. "Introductions can and will wait. Right now, we have two options. North and South. I for one, am heading that way," he said as he pointed towards the direction Sam had run. "Now, you can follow, we can be properly introduced, and we can work together or we can go separate ways. I'm trusting you two enough to give you the chance to earn it. We need people to survive," he said before taking off after Sam.

Joshua sighed and looked at Sasha, then Fallon. "Think about it. Meet here in one day if you want to work together. Two if it's overrun. For what it's worth, I'm sorry. You can't be too cautious, but you two already know that." With that, he nodded and ran after Ashley.

Ashley and Joshua made it to their original hideout, the burnt out SUV. Quickly, they slid inside and kept their weapons out and ready. They say there, completely silent and still.
