  • Brightpaw looked around thoughtfully. "Like this?" she crouched a little bit, her right paw out in front of the rest. She hoped that both she and Frogpaw were right.

  • Jollypaw and Lionpaw smiled at each. They were just practicing that not to long ago!

  • Windstrike nodded, then got into position. "That's great" the white tom praised. "Now what paw should you launch off with?" he quizzed.

  • Feralclaw crouched into the sprinting position. His paws were slightly turned for maximum agility. The speckled Tom did not say a word.

  • Jollypaw watched the other apprentices while Lionpaw practiced his battle moves.

  • "It's actually the opposite foot you have out in front" Windstike coached the apprentices. "So if your left paw's out in front, then it's your right foot in the back, and vise versa" the tom mewed deeply.

Willowlove looked at the younger apprentices. "All the younger apprentices, join me over here please" the senior warrior asked.

  • Brightpaw nodded and stayed by Windstrike, while Sorrowpaw walked over to Willowlove, Novapaw following behind timidly. He wasn't doing so good for his first day as an apprentice, and he knew it.

  • "Alright, now I want all the older apprentices to line up at the entrance of the training area please" Windstrike mewed.

Willowlove looked at the younger apprentices. "Alright, now Sorrowpaw, how can I talk to Novapaw?" the mentor asked the younger apprentice.

  • Brightpaw darted over to the entrance under Windstrike's order.

Sorrowpaw looked at her brother. "He can read your mouth. You just have to point at him with your paw when your talking to him." She stood in front of Novapaw and pointed a paw at him.

"Novapaw, stand up." Novapaw did so obediently. "Like that." Sorrowpaw meowed. "And speak slowly." The tortie added.

  • Windstrike smiled at the apprentices. "Alright, one the count of three run as fast as you can till I tell you to stop alright" the deputy told the apprentices faint a faint smile.

Willowlove nodded and looked at Novepaw. "You can understand me?" the brown she-cat mewed slowly.

  • Brightpaw nodded and got into a crouch.

Novapaw glanced at Willowlove, and he nodded slowly.
