Sunstream woke up early to arrange patrols. She decided to go out on a border patrol alone because they were short on warriors. She nosed her way to the warriors den. "Rosesong," she whispered.

"Wha..?" Rosesong woke up and stretched her legs. She padded out of the den and went over to Sunstream. "What is it?" she asked.

"Can you take your apprentice, Seedpaw, on a hunting patrol?" she asked.

"Sure," Rosesong said. She padded in to the apprentices den. "Seedpaw," she called.

Seedpaw woke up and followed Rosesong out of the den.

"We are going hunting," Rosesong said to her apprentice. She lead Seedpaw out of camp and toward a big tree crawling with mice. "Smell anything?" she asked Seedpaw.

Seedpaw nodded and touched her nose to the ground. She followed the scent trail for a while before crouching low, and swiftly pouncing on the mouse. She killed it swiftly and brought I back to Rosesong.

Rosesong complimented her apprentice and they continued like that for a while. By the time they returned to the camp, they had caught 3 mice and a starling. They were still working on how to catch birds and Seedpaw hadn't gotten the hang of it yet.

On the dawn patrol, Spiritfeather scented all the borders without any trouble. She only had one border left, the one they shared with MoonClan.

MOONCLAN:

Cheetahstar woke up bright and early. She wanted to make sure the patrols were being arranged and wanted to go on the dawn patrol.

Spiritmoon was up with Thornkit. He was complaining of a bellyache. She had given him some juniper berries to ease the pain and half a poppy seed to help him sleep.

Thornkit dreamed of hunting mice. [/justify]

Cheetahstar shifted around in her nest until she fell in a deep sleep. She opened her eyes to see Moonstar along with Celestialtail, Moonclan's past leader and Medicine cat. "Greetings," Cheetahstar said to them. They nodded in return. The cats seemed oddly grave. Cheetahstar looked around and noticed that they were in Sunclan territory. The two cats spoke at last "When blood rises over rule, the light and dark shall drift away to face their destiny together" the cats murmured. They disappeared and Cheetahstar say a clan of cats living normally. Suddenly the clan was swallowed by a river of blood. Cheetahstar was about to help when she realized she was not in her territory. She woke up gasping for air. [/justify]
