• Nan hobbled beside the Sand Walker unable to understand how he could accept his fate so easily. A frown was prominent on her face. He couldn't be stuck down here forever, could he?
"How?" She trailed off shaking her head. "I mean, how long have you been down here?" Should couldn't imagine a life down here in the dark. No Sun. No green. Only dirt and rock for miles around and the chill that came with being underground.

• "It's hard to tell when there's no sun," Akemi says, "But I've been down here a very long time. No one really knows what happens to those who die down here, so I decided I wouldn't. It's my eternal punishment for what I've done. There's no need for you to spend any worry upon it."

• To some degree his words did exactly what he didn't want her to do. She hobbled along leaning most of her weight on Akemi as they went. In the distance three scrawny figures crawled on their hands and knees. "Akemi," she mumbled.

• Akemi looks towards the figures for a second and then looks away.
"Yes?" He asks, looking down at her. "What is it?" He was hoping she wouldn't ask for him to do something about the sad, decrepited things in the distance. He had wasted enough ammunition rescuing her as it was.

• She watched the beings in the distance as they crumbled to the ground. Besides Nanette and Akemi, they were the only others in the area, but their screams soon could be heard for miles around bouncing off the high ceiling. Their bodies twisted and contorted, writhing as their skin slowly peeled away just the outer shell of what they once were. In the threes places were beasts hunched over. They stood on two legs and foot taller than Akemi, coated in a filmy substance. They had no eyes, but cavernous mouths with jagged teeth to fill the empty space. Their noses were ten times stronger than that of a canines. A new species never before seen below the surface. Another creature, smaller than the others, swooped down from the ceiling looking over the creations.
"You see them two, right?" She croaked.

• Akemi slapped a hand over Nan's mouth before she could say anything, his eyes narrowing and turning red. New forms of demon spawn appeared down here all the time, using the dried of vessels of the dying souls as transport. Pulling three knives from inside his boots, his sits one of his wrists. His blood pooled out a in a strange, dark red colored pool, but thicker than blood should be, nearly molasses. He coats each of the knives in his blood and looks around for a place to temporarily hide the wounded girl he traveled with.

• Nan's eyes were fixated on the beasts gathered around around what she made out to be a cloaked hominid tucked their hood down though their face could be made out from the distance. The smell of Akemi's blood stirred up the beasts although the hominid never once peered their way.

Nan couldn't believe what he was doing as the blood swelled out of his wrist. She squirmed under his grasp to the best of her ability having forgotten how different they were.

• Akemi quickly places her a rock overhang and lowers the hood of his cloak, whistling low and loud in the direction of the beasts. They wouldn't normally come after a sand walker, but they would definitely go after Nanette, and he wasn't going to let her die this early in their journey.

• "Hush now," the cloaked one reached towards one of the creatures. His voice was hushed, sounding of breaking glass. Despite attempts neither of the three listened to their master, charging the enemy Sand Walker leaving him to follow behind at a much slower pace. " He will not be happy with the results." The being, an Angel, groaned. His hair was a ruddy shade of ginger, his eyes following in suit. And his skin was translucent, paper-thin.

The brunette beasts snapped at Akemi. Unlike other species, these were created for the tracking, and in this case, destroying of Sand Walkers.

Nan sat with her head down listening the on goings on the other side of the over hang. Her eyes were focused on her hands constantly contracting her fingers into a fist the relaxing them. A nervous habit of hers.

• Akemi jumps backwards, used to the feel of landing on the moving granules of sand, and at the same time throws one of the knives at the firSt beast, sending the blade directly down the creature's throat. He then smoothly dodges another, pulling out his range, gun like weapon and shooting it in one of its knees.

• The first of the creatures let out a burgled whine as it's body shriveled up like a rasin. Its body had become petrified. The second managed to get back to its feet only angrier than ever before while third snapped and pathetically tried clawing at Akemi.

The redhead stood a good fifteen feet away watching his creations pathetically attack their target to no avail. He found himself shaking his head with so many new ideas for the next generation.

• Akemi easily dodges their attacks, his movements smooth and graceful, throwing the 2nd knife down the 3rd creatures throat easily. However, he gets a bit too cocky half way through and only narrowly misses the last creature's bite at his throat by a couple inches, forcing him to slit the creatures throat across instead of the much less messy way he killed the other two. Once he's finished, he looks over at the angel.
"Why are you trying to kill us all of the sudden? We're stuck here, it makes no difference."

• "That girl will taint your ways, Sand Walker." He responds glancing over the remains of his creations. The first now no more than ashes. "Kill her,let her die you're the only one who can or suffer the consequences. We gave you this life and we can take it away if you fail to meet our demands." With that the Angel glanced towards the over hang. "This is your first and only warning, Sand Walker. She's more of a disgrace to Him than any others down here." With that he took spreading his wings.

Nan sat there frozen. "Tainted?" She whispered in a low voice. At this her fiddling only increased. Was she going to be killed, rather was she going to be the fall of Akemi.

• Akemi narrows his eyes and walks over to Nanette, his eyes blood red.
"What did you do?" He Asked coldly. "What did you do to be sent down here, girl?"
(Sorry, rushed)

• The blonde found herself shaking her head, her hands creating fists then relaxing before repeating the process. "I-" Her voice cracked. "I don't know, I don't remember." It shot pain through her trying to remember something that wasn't there. "I woke up and I was running. The Angels were chasing me through the forest. There was around seven." She shook her head just as surprised as him. "I can't remember."

(Don't worry about it I'm in the same boat. :) )

• Akemi pales even more than he already was and takes a step or two away from her.
"Maybe he's right, then," Akemi said, his voice montone. "No one should spend time with a forsaken creature such as yourself."

• "Please," she mumbled watching her hands. "Take care of others who fall through. I'm sorry." The blonde managed she couldn't look at him. The guilt was too much she could have put him in danger when all he had done was try to help. It was all her fault and hadn't known.

While from Above the Angel grinned. Their futures were changing. As long as one died the world would remain at peace, as would He.

• Akemi suddenly doubles over, hacking and digging his nails into his arm, drawing blood. His eyes shift from brown to red and then back again, and his other hand goes to his neck, clawing it diagonally across. He looks away from Nanette for a second and when he looks back his eyes stay brown.
"I'm not scared of any angels, miss. I'll get you to the end."

• "What's wrong?" She asked quickly noting the marks and the fact he had seemingly been coughing up a lung. "Are you alright?" Her eyes unable to meet his own. She had been caught of guard by his actions, but the guilt still ransacked her mind. "I refuse to travel with yourself."

• Akemi twirls a knife between his fingers looking down at her.
"I traded most of my human half to be able to fight for what remains of shattered soul. If I go any further, I'll lose it all together and become a demon. But I think it starts to happen slowly anyway. I have a demon side and a human side. I can't feel love, but I also can't feel fear. They're the two most human emotions there are, and I can only remember what it is like to have them. Such is my punishment. If I die along the way, it is of no loss to anyone but you. I can't even love myself, so it is of no concern at all."
