    Asuza let out a soft sigh. "I promise I won't hurt you, okay?" she said after she noticed his uncertain look. She rolled her left sleeve down, revealing a scar covered arm. Asuza lightly scratched her arm, just enough that there would be a small mark where she did so. Toreni probably would have felt it too, as well as have the same small mark on his arm.

"I can use my other powers to hurt them, and if they're on the verge of giving up or death, you just need to stab yourself in the arm or something a couple of times," Asuza said. "And then you don't need to also feel like you're going to immediately die."
