  • "Really, you did?" said Timberline. "Who made you a medicine cat, and why did you stop being one? This is interesting."

Meanwhile, Benniepaw was realising that, since Mousetail was also on top of Sparkstep, she was on top of two toms. Probably made a whole lot easier by Sparkstep's unusually short legs, and her unusually long ones. Well, she always knew they'd come in handy.

  • Honeybreeze nodded with a grin. "Oh, yes! I was the best medicine cat Thunderclan has ever seen. But I sprained my paw and had to become a warrior, it seemed Starclan didn't want to me to be the medicine cat. Quite sad, no?" Sighing heavily, she stepped in to the den and sniffed around for a bit. Grabbing a wad of catnip, a few too many poppy seeds and a chunk of honey - because it just smelt so nice - the ginger she-cat wrapped it all up in a leaf. "This should keep us going for a while!" She told Timberline, carrying the little package back out of the den.

  • "But...cats with sprained paws...don't they have to go to the medicine den to, you know....um...get healed by...the medicine cat?" said Timberline. She was trying. She was trying HARD.

  • "No." Honeybreeze blinked slowly, staring at Timberline with blank eyes. After a long, long silence, she sighed heavily and smiled. "Well, thank you for your help, Timberline. But I must be off, Starclan doesn't wait forever!" Picking up the little package of herbs, she trotted away to find Sparkstep. "Benniepaw! Mousetail! I command you to get off your deputy!"

  • Sparkstep squirmed, still trying to get out. "It's about time!" he yowled, trying to roll his way out from underneath of Benniepaw, but that really didn't do much to help him. "I gotta go to the Moonstone. Getoffa me you lumps."

  • Silvercloud flicked her tail, trying to keep up with everything. Sliding over to Timberline, she whispered to her aunt. "What did she get in those herbs?"

((OOC| *confusion* Didn't someone enter a cat called Lunacry in page 4, asking what happened to the Windclan patrol?))

  • ooc: yeah, I did, but as is typical of really chaotic situations, no one noticed her. That's okay though. I brought her into Dreamstar's new thread.

"No no no wait WaitWAITWAIT!" Timberline dashed after Honeybreeze, feeling a little headache coming on. She was getting too old for this...

"Crystalstar!" yowled Benniepaw, still not letting the munchkin cat up. "Do we let them go the Moonstone or force them to remain here? What should we do about this?" The Moonstone was sacred...not a place for lunatics to play out their delusions. On the other paw, it might be the only way to break them out of the spell they were under.

  • Silvercloud scampered after Timberline, trying to see what was happening with Sparkstep. "Timberline! What was in the herbs - if it's something that will make them sleep, let them Hopneybreeze and Sparkstep eat them!" She hissed. The crazy pair being asleep seemed like the only solution to this problem.

((OOC| I noticed them! *laughs* I entered Fireflight and Echostream in just after her :P *goes in hunt of a the new thread* Please no-one pay attenttion to the bits of my previous posts dealing with Echostream/Fireflight as I may edit them!))

  • "I couldn't get her in there and I don't know what herbs do what, I'm not a medicine cat and it's not like we have any of our own lately." Timberline sighed. She'd been so close, and she'd been hoping more cats would have come to her aid. "But it sure couldn't hurt to just shove some catnip down their throats at this point. Make them a whole lot happier if nothing else."

  • "She does have catnip there, at least. I can smell it." Silvercloud was certain. An idea formed. Putting on her most winning smile, she stepped in front of Honeybreeze. "I often help out the medicine cats. Won't you let me divide those herbs up for you and your deputy?" More lies - she barely knew the medicine cat or apprentice. She hoped Starclan would forgive all these untruths. It was for the good of her clan, she told herself.

((OOC|Editing out Fireflight and Echostream. They hadn't actually done anything here yet so as far as I can see this won't affect anyone.))

  • "Yes I think that would help a great deal," said Timberline, whose nose wasn't quite as sharp as it had once been. Not that she'd gotten all that close to the den yet, but still.

  • Quietpaw was getting tired of this. She padded into the nursery after her sister. "Good luck with that crazy nutjob." She muttered under her breath as she entered the nursery. She couldn't help feeling bad for that one apprentice though. She knew very well that Honeybreeze had taken a hard blow when Tuckkit had been eaten and Rollkit had been responsible. To make matters worse, Rollkit disappeared. It apprently had been just as painful for Sparkstep; because he was just as insane.
Quietpaw sighed as she curled up into a tight ball. Her belly was bulging now with Spiritpaw's kits. What was she thinking? Just annoucing that they couldn't be together anymore? A few more tears rolled down her cheeks, before a black blanket covered her pained gaze.

  • Crystalstar cast her confused, glazed over hazel orbs to rest upon the apprentice speaking to her. What in StarClan’s name was going on here? How was she supposed to handle this situation? Clearly these cats were not sane, would Goldenheart be able to do anything for them? ”I’m going to try, little one.” the leader mewed, as confidently as she possible could, simply for the sake of the kit. It must be difficult to watch your parents dive off the very deep end. Turning her attention back to the fiasco, the leader puzzled over possibilities. ”Yes, Benniepaw. I agree with what you have in mind. I shall accompany them to Moonstone, allow them to attempt their plan.” If she couldn’t handle this, StarClan could.

OOC: Short I know...but...it got a bit flooded and I'm confused.

  • Honeybreeze rolled her eyes. "Thank Starclan, Mousetail." She sighed, her tail lashing dramatically. "You were so heavy you were squashing the air out of poor Sparkstar! Y'know, you could stand to lose a few." With a not so subtle wink, she padded toward Crystalstar. "This is treason. I am leader. Sparkstar is leader. Not you, you'll have to wait your turn!" This cat thought she could waltz in here and claim the position of leader, then start brain washing all of the other cats in to thinking she really was a leader! Imposter..

  • "You sure you want to go alone with them?" said Benniepaw. Crystalstar had kits to feed right now--they were not yet eating solids. She couldn't be gone long, and if anything happened to her, Benniepaw knew there might not be another queen to feed them. She herself was already overtaxed. What if those two nuts snapped over there by the moonstone, or somewhere along the way there or back, and killed her? Or tried?

  • "I'm sorry Honeystar, I meant Crystalblaze." Mousetail looked apologetically to Crystalstar hoping she would understand.

  • Crystalstar narrowed her hazel hued orbs, flattening her ears tight against her skull. It took all of her sanity and energy to bite back the vicious retort she desired to say bluntly to Honeybreeze. The leader was empathetic enough to understand her situation, though. It was hard to lose a kit, but how was it to know your kit was a blood thirsty murderer? "Pardon me, Honeystar." Crystalstar couldn't help but stress the star part, albeit sarcastically.

When Benniepaw spoke up, Crystalstar realized she would be unable to partake in this journey. Hesitating, the she-cat sought out Timberline's gaze, silently begging for assistance. "No, I don't think I can make this journey. I have to be here for my kits...but we can't let them go alone."
