You guys wrote amazing posts, and I'm just replying with this, stuff. I apologize!Zia had to admit, she had found some reason and sense in Yang's words. It still didn't dim the urge to get up, but it certainly helped. Once she was better, she'd thank her, and also thank the others for saving her life. She wondered how she could repay them.
The tiger wolf squinted her dull amber eyes when she heard Yin's question. Uh... 1 1/2? No... 1? 2?
She was broken out of her struggle to make her vision cooperate by the sound of Roxas' voice and an object appearing in front of her. It was some sort of...? The sharp smell of the liquid inside hit her nose, almost making her flinch back. Instead her ears tipped backwards, almost touching her head.
It's for the best... It's for the best.. She kept reminding herself, trying to convince herself to drink the liquid. With trouble, she managed to lift her head enough for her to be able to lap up some of the medicine. She hesitantly lapped up a bit.
If speaking felt like her throat was aching and tight, this felt like it was on fire. She managed to sink the little bit before breaking into ragged coughs, turning her head away from the others and letting it drop to the ground as the coughs continued. Finally, which seemed like it had been forever, it stopped, leaving her wheezing for a proper breath, eyes snapped shut to hide the tears. She wasn't sure if they were from the pain, or from the harshness of the coughs.
It took her a few seconds to convince herself to turn her head towards the others and the liquid, eyes still snapped shut as she fought to recover from the force of the coughs.[/fancypost]

"Come on Zia," he said softly, hoping she could hear and understand him well. "You've gotta down it all, that necklace won't fix everything." he sighed, resting his tail on her back once more.

Yang was taken aback a bit at Roxas' growl. A small growl of her own formed under her breath as she watched him walk away.
Jeez, somebody woke up on the wrong side of the cave, she thought, her annoyance clearly showing in her expression. And without thinking it through very well, Yang decided that she would help him lighten up.
She turned to Joel, "I'll be right back," she said, before turning and running to catch up to Roxas.
"Hey!" she said, facing him "I've been trying to look for Coltsfoot. I think it'd be good for everyone, y'know? Especially Zia, might help with her cough..." she paused a second, looking around the snowy landscape. Half of what I'm writing is just stuff I suddenly come up with, mostly slightly strange.Zia listened to what he said, knowing he was probably right. Like the others as well. So why couldn't she just, do it? A small shiver ran down her spine when his tail rested on her back. Cold. Just, Cold. Chilly.
Something caught her attention. Necklace? She lifted her head weakly and glanced down, looking surprised at the necklace. Wait, what, who? Why? The only time she had seen that necklace was when...
When Joel was dead.
Her pupils dilated and she let her head drop again, staring wide eyed at Yin.
"Was... Wa-as I... Dead?" The tiger hybrid croaked out, doing her best to avoid making any sounds or expressions that would reveal how much pain she actually was in. Though she couldn't hide any emotions in her eyes. Those amber orbs were like mirrors, reflecting every single of her emotions, whether she wanted or not.[/fancypost]

The very last thing that Yin wanted to do at that moment, was answer that question.
Because she was right. And after yesterday, Yin didn't want to think about how many times Zia's breathing had stopped, and he felt as if his own had stopped as well. It was almost impossible for him to imagine what they would do without Zia. (or what he would do, but he ignored that thought completely.)
I'm worried about the pack, that's all. Pack. Yeah.
Realizing he'd been silent for a bit too long, he turned his attention back to the Tiger-Wolf and her very difficult question.
"Well.. you definitely came too close. We can't take chances like that again."
And then he mentally slapped himself.
What kind of an answer was that? What am I doing? Not helping, that's what.

And I agree, I often read back and watch the progress, and how the characters have developed.Zia felt like her breath had been stolen away once she registered his words. 'Breathless, in a bad way.' She remained silent, unaware of herself not breathing as she thought it over. 'Close to death.'
Only when she exhaled as a huff, she realized she hadn't been able to look through her surprise enough to use her lungs.
"Okay..." She whispered airly, unsure of what to say really. She knew something through. She wouldn't only have been 'close' to death if Yin, or Templar or who ever it was who literally saved her life. But she had a feeling Yin had something to do with it.
Slowly, she blinked and focused on Yin.
"Thank you." She whispered, the shadow of a grateful smile tugging at the corners of her mouth. "For.. Saving my... My l-life..." She continued, silently scolding herself for not being able to talk probably or loudly enough because of her throat.

"She came back, I guess she just decided to hide away." He shrugged, looking around for the she wolf. He soon spotted the winged wolf, being huddled in a corner a shaking slightly. "She's been sleeping an awful long time..." He noted, and saw one of her wings twitch and come closer to her body to most likely warm her up. "I guess she'll need a few more hours, if she doesn't get up, I'll wake her." He assured the she wolf beside him.

Templar scooted closer to Kai, her head going under his chin. A small purr emitted from her chest. Her tail curled around her, wings shuffling to a mor comfortable position on her back. Her eyes fluttered close as she enjoyed the feeling of being safe next to Kai, the warmth growing hotter yet was still comfortable. Did he care who heard it?
No.
He didn't care at all. He was overly happy, feeling nothing but love and adoration for the hybrid besides him. He closed his eyes in content as he tugged her a bit closer. He was afraid of loosing her. A world without Templar would mean eternal suffering and grief. For him, he didn't know about the others. A world like that would simply not be worth living.[/fancypost]

A small yawn escaped her maw, the sleep hat once subdued her still lingering some. "Kai, promise you won't ever leave." He leaned his muzzle against the side of hers, glancing directly into her memorizing eyes. He didn't even try to hide the joy and adoration flashing through his yellow eyes.
"You have no idea how I've been wishing to hear those words." He breathed out, a happy smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
"And there's no way I'm ever leaving you. No one can get me away from the wolf I love. They'd have to knock me out or kill me to do that" He stated firmly, reacting over and wrapping her in a wolfish 'hug'.[/fancypost]

He cleared his throat, his gaze unconsciously flickering down towards his tail, looking at the gash before quickly looking at Templar, to make sure she hadn't noticed.
"I can walk." The lion hybrid started out. "And..." He trailed off, lifting a front paw briefly and looking at his paw pads, grimacing from the sight. His paw pads were rather torn up, from first being burnt by the embers from the fire, then frozen so they cracked and later torn up on sharp rocks and twigs under the snow.
He hadn't gotten the dried blood off them yet, nor removed any of the splinters and small rocks embedded into the irritated and red flesh.
Why can't I feel them? It was a bit concerning, the fact that he couldn't feel them or the pain that had to be emerging from them. But then he thought of the floor of the cave. It seemed cold enough to numb his paws, and they hadn't regained the feeling yet from his travel either.
Clearing his throat, the sandy blonde maned wolf set his paw down again, looking back at Templar. "My paws have seen better days... But I'll manage, I'll manage. The snow and cold has numbed them anyway." He quickly added the reassurances that he'd manage, not wanting her to worry more than needed.
"And maybe I've hurt my tail" He spoke in a very low, quick voice, smiling innocently as if he hadn't just blurted out those words. He silent hoped she hadn't heard it, but he suspected she had.[/fancypost]

I small sigh and the shake from Templar's head was enough to let Kai know she heard. "Let's get you some treatment." She said and stood up. "Hm, I'm not sure if I should ask Roxas or not, he may be working on Zia." She muttered to herself, thoughts whirrling. Yin was genuinely lost for words. There was a moment when he wondered why she would possibly be thanking him, that he should be thanking her, but he wasn't sure why. For once in a long time (maybe ever), he decided that it didn't matter, and he didn't need to think of a logical explanation, because he didn't need one. Which was pretty much a first for him.
He was with Zia, so he was okay. His sister was safe, so he was okay.
Yin lied down again, keeping his tail over her back, staying close to keep her warm.
"Thank you," he said, "Just for... making it.".
It was all honesty as he said, it, all sincerity in his voice.
And he dozed off.

Yang appeared then, walking to Templar and Kai, catching the last bit of their conversation. She knew exactly what they needed for cracked pads, and it might even help Zia.
"I can help," she said quietly, not wanting to disturb anyone else. "I know exactly what we need for cracked pads, and it might help Zia with her cough as well. As for the tail, I can help with that too. There's just some things I need to find, and I might need Templar to help me find it. And I'm gonna need to take a look at that tail." The snow white wolf gestured to the Lion-Hybrid's tail. It was most likely just stiff, but there was no harm in checking.[/justify][/fancypost]
