  • Candykit curled up in a patch of grass, pawing at her green scarf. It was a bit chilly out, so she huddled up with it in the sunlight. The kit sighed. Couldn't someone figure out something interesting to do? Maybe if she could find someone who was interesting, then that would solve her boredom and loneliness. Maybe she shouldn't let it get to herself, but it really made her sad. She didn't even have any friends, really. At least not close ones. The tortie feline didn't like being sad or lonely or bored; no one did.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] Raising his imaginary eyebrow, he started to think about how he should approach. He had to admit, she was cute. But being the stubborn, very short kitten with a deep voice he was, he was too stubborn to admit it. With golden eyes narrowed, he gathered the confidence to pad over. It was weird how he could be grumpy, but also a cute red tabby. With a quick sigh, he sat down at a distance with her. "Hi." he mewed to the black-and-brown femme.

  • Candykit looked up at Daydreamkit, hearing his 'hi'. She'd seen him around before, yes, but she'd never really talked to him. Though he seemed quite grumpy most of the time, she thought that there could be more to him. Who knew? Sometimes you just gotta give people a chance. Or two. The tiny kit flashed a small smile to the red tabby. He was actually kind of good-looking, with his ever-lasting scowl. "Hello," she responded, struggling to control her stutter.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] The golden-eyed tom sat down. What was he suppose to say now? Maybe he had to wait for her to say something? Maybe he had to lay down? He was confused, but being the clever kit he was, he huffed out; "How are you?" it was hard for him since he didn't like socializing.

  • "I-I'm good." Dang it. She couldn't control it after all. Looking down at her paws, she asked, "You?" Candykit glanced up at him, wanting to keep her eyes on him for some reason. She wasn't very good at socializing, either.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] Daydreamkit didn't mind stuttering, no matter how much he wanted her voice to be perfect. The red tabby narrowed his eyes. "Peachy." he replied under his breath.

  • Candykit tilted her head. Well, it looked like she had found some one interesting. Or he found her. She raised a nonexistent eyebrow. "Y-you sure don't sound 'peachy'," she meowed. The kit already knew that he was always grumpy like this, but she still confronted the tom about it. It wasn't a big deal to her, anyway. Sometimes she was grumpy, too.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] "are you saying this because you think I sound like a drag?" he mewed, quirking an non-existing eyebrow. He wasn't saying it because he was offended or sensitive, but to so the reaction. He had a theory that cats would think he was sad for some reason, when in reality, he was only a grumpy know-it-all. When he meant peachy, he was serious because he felt like the only genius in the clan.

  • Candykit shook her head, sitting up. "Not at all," she responded. "I-I'm just... interested in you. You seem so serious all the time, and I'm curious." Well, she was being honest. She was actually very interested in him.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] Daydreamkit was partly flattered, but pretended as if he was annoyed. With a roll of his golden eyes, he stretched his neck out. "Please," he huffed. "Why are you interested? Because I never smile? Maybe you want to make a joke about my shortness. Perhaps you think my seriousness is a disease. Why are you curious in my personality?" he mewed with no emotion. it sort of took him by surprise that someone took. Interest in him, but taking notes of reactions amused him more.

  • Candykit shrugged. She herself was abnormally small, so it wasn't that he was short. And she wasn't one to judge a book by it's cover. "I see you frowning a lot, and m-most seem to think that's all th-there is to you. B-but I think that there is something more to you," she explained, green optics shining. "And I want to find out if I'm right." Her stuttering was starting to cease, since she was becoming more sure of herself around him.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] He was even more flattered, but he decided to just amuse himself by saying something different then expected. "something more to me?" the red tabby mewed, tilting his head. "There's nothing more to me, I'm a sad sap. Unless you find a cat with pica interesting." he wasn't sad, just grumpy. If he was he would've been called emo.

  • Candykit tilted her head to the side. "D-do you really think that?" He hadn't come across to her as one of those who thought nothing of themselves, or one who went around spreading the news that they were worthless to gain pity. So why was he saying this? She pondered this, even more intrigued now.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] Daydreamkit quirked an eyebrow. "I'm *ing with you, Candykit." he admitted. He wasn't one to spread something pitiful about himself to the world. He wouldn't dare to anyways. The red tabby layer himself down, tucking his limb under him to look like bread. "I'm not a sad sap."

  • Candykit was surprised at his words at first, but couldn't suppress a grin. "'Course you're not," she responded. "Th-that's one of the reasons I like you." It was out before she could think about it. Her eyes grew wide as heat rushed into her cheeks. "Uh, I-I mean..."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] what did that mean? if anything, Daydreamkit wasn't clueless. He let a crack of a smile reach his face before letting it fade. "I'm serious, I'm not a sad sap." he wanted to clarify. He did have his up and down moments, but he was overall fine. "I thought kits liked a hot, broad, dull, fazed guy who is more interested in his looks than his clan." he mewed. He saw a few cats like that, and decided to judge.

  • Candykit seen the brief smile on his face and started to calm down. "W-Well I guess you're wrong, unless under all that grumpy, you're one of them guys," she joked, flashing a smile. Then she narrowed her eyes in mock-suspicion. "Y-you're not, are you?"

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] "Do I look like a loser to you?" he huffed, going back to his grumpy stage.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=; borderwidth=0px; height: auto; width: 400px][justify][size=8] "Good." he quickly huffed. He wasn't offended yet, and he did take note of her sudden annoyance which made him get a little suspicious.
