  • (I don't mean to be rude or anything, but its bothering me and I would point this out if it were my own thread. The timeframe doesn't work for Northernaurora. She left when the cats were taking out Spacestar and returned as they finished burying her. It would take much longer to get to a cave and back. I think Red said around half a day or something like that. It would make more sense if the kit was found at a border or something, but that's just my thoughts.)

Cursedheart turned her head in the direction of Coalcaw as began speaking. The smile on her maw was genuine for once and her eyes simmered with open merriment, this particular group of toms were a joy to be around. Yet the smile her maw might of falter slightly but only visible to those who knew her exceptionally well. It could of been somewhat more strained after hearing Coalcaw's comments about her. They were nice enough and nothing rude, but it was the straightforward mannerisms the tom spoke in that had her slightly off her game. As if noticing her discomfort with the compliments Thunderpaw spoke up again.
"You know who is really weird? You." The younger cat placed one paw over the other and sighed. "Your also very talkative. Do you ever think before speaking?" Thunderpaw appeared truly curios about this but was hissed at all the same by his older brother. Riddlemask shot him a glare that told him to shut his maw as he began piling dirt over the body in hole.

A pure furred she cat had her head dipped at an angle and was nosing through left over prey. She had been gather her courage as well as giving herself pep talks in order to go visit and check on the tom she highly admire. But had turned tail four tail lengths from his den with the excuse of getting something to eat. She had really been trying hard to at least peek inside and make sure he was okay....but her nerves were always biting. She want to make sure that he wasn't to grief stricken with Spacestar's death, for grief could turn into something she was far to familiar with. In the end she decided to find something for Nightjarstar to eat, but couldn't decided what to bring. Would it taste better if she went out and caught him something...it might if she caught it especially for him. She probably appeared a mousebrain digging in the pile, but Snowblossom was to into what she was doing and thinking about to care.

  • ooc: I agree, so I'm gonna say that Northernaurora found her onn a small little walk around ;) Oh, and thanks for the reminder...lol.

ic: Lorelei, the tiny little kit, found hidden among some foliage, though not very well might I add, curled into a tighter ball as the she-cat set her in a nest, her tail covering her muzzle as she refused to open her eyes. She was about 6 moons old, and if her eyes were open, one would be green, the other a deep blue. Her fur stuck up in funny angles, considering crouched under a fern plant would do to you, her ears, tiny, yet flat against her head.

. (don't do anything ridiculous, illya/celtic. i've seen your posts in coralclan.)

Nightjarstar stepped back out of his new den, slightly taken aback at the still present scent of Spacestar. He padded out and toward the fresh-kill pile, noticing Snowblossom and her rather troubling act of digging through the pile. "Hey," he greeted, stepping next to the she-cat. "What are you doing?" He asked.

Coalcaw tilted his head. "Really? I do apologize," the black tabby blinked, actually surprised that he had came off rude when his true intentions was to just lighten the mood and talk about his travels. "I'm so sorry," he meowed, to Cursedheart after noticing her discomfort. "I'm so, so sorry." He bounded over to the she-cat, trying to think of a way to make it up to her. "I am quite foolish in a sense of having no brain-to-mouth filter," he continued. "Reminds me of another day of my travels. I was so kindly invited to stay in this one cat's den, you see, and they had this amazing collection of strange rocks that hold this delicious drink called milk, like the ones nursing queens make. Absolutely delicious. Apparently I wasn't supposed to drink out of that rock, and the cat looked at me with a very displeased expression. How was I to know? They didn't have anything plastered on that tells me the rock is off limits. They didn't even tell me. So I told them, and I was promptly kicked out. I still think it's their fault," he rambled.

  • The snow furred feline continued searching through her small pile she had set aside while narrowing down her choses to baby rabbit and and a rather plump squirrel. She was so engaged in her task she didn't even bother looking up at the one speaking to her. "Hello." She responded yet it was not hard to tell she was not fully with the current conversation. "What am I doing? Well I am trying to figure what I should bring to Nightjarstar. I think he might be hungry, although I am not positive but most toms are usually hungry. But I can not decide if the squirrel is better or the rabbit." She appeared to be deep in thought and gaze intently at both animals as if one would jump and tell that it was better. "What do you think?"

Cursedheart tilted one ear to the side as Coalcaw began apologizing profusely and added another story. She began to beam once again as she listened to his tales of his travels. She didn't mind his chatter, it was rather calming since she never had much to say she preceded listening over speaking. She hadn't been offended more uncomfortable with added compliments. She didn't get very many and often stired clear of toms who gave them. But Coalcaw appeared genuine and he made her laugh, his personality was uplifting and light if not a little childish as well. "Elfinpaw and Coalcaw are the perfect apprentice mentor pair." Thunderpaw announced if nothing more than to get a word in.
"You seem to of lived quite a grand and adventuresome life before Nightclan. I would to hear more about it if we have time to spare later." She told the warrior ignoring the apprentice. It was clear she held no ill will towards the Tom.
"Done, can we head back?" Riddlemask requested as he padded over shaking dirt on Thuderpaw who glowered at him.

  • ooc: That was because I was grieving and well museless at the time. Consideirng you don't trust me I'm putting both cats up for adoption and have fun. I can't focus on any clan thread without anyone bringing up Corralclan. Yikes, just one mistake in my life and this is what is brung up. Hope someone who is actually able to RP correctly can have fin with Northernaurora and Lorelei.

  • Ooc: Oh, sorry about that rant. I'm with my sister tonight and this type of thing tends to bring back memories, sorry for being rude.

. (you may want to take your emotional roller coaster ride elsewhere. if a little thing like reminding you not to break rules and keep things realistic will cause you to freak out like that, then i will advise you to stay off the internet and semi-advanced clans)

Amused, Nightjarstar sat down next to Snowblossom, humming in deep thought. "Interesting," he meowed, pretending to be in deep thought. "Now, I know Nightjarstar likes to eat squirrels, but a rabbit is big enough to share. But then again, squirrels are cool," he meowed, raising a paw to emphasis the point.

Coalcaw stuttered in his speech, his voice faltering to a halt. "Oh, okay," he meowed, staying beside the deputy. He turned his gaze toward Riddlemask, nodding his head at his fellow warrior. He felt rather strange, seeing as he was so eager with helping the burial of Spacestar, but in the end it was Riddlemask who did most of the work. He felt like apologizing, but held onto his tongue for the first time in his life.

  • ooc:Yeah, sorry about that ;) didn't mean to rant like that over and over again. Could I change Northernaurora to finding Lorelei in a more reasonable manner, and maybe some help on what to do? I-okay, I would appreciate help, if any one of you two could help I'd appreciate it :-[ Thank you red, a lot

  • (I could have Winterphantom help her, otherwise go and get Thunderpaw. It not like he is doing anything useful right now. Have her take him on boarder or hunting patrol or training they can run into the kit that way.)

Snowblossom was still musing which would be better. The ears were turned in the direction of the voice and in the back of her mind she knew it sounded highly familiar. The answers seemed reasonable enough expect the last one. That one sounded like a Riddlemask answer she was looking for a more thoughtful and factual Thunderpaw answer. She can't just feed the leader a squirrel because it was cool! But Snowblossom wasn't one to openly disagree with cats and merely nodded her head as small kit sized black paws stopped in.front of her. "Hello Snowblossom." The airy and dreamy voice had her looking up into vibrant eyes with a hint of green at the center. "I was eavesdropping." Elfinpaw announced boldly without shame and guilty. "I think you should give Nightjarstar a rabbit for I am sure your hungry as well. But Nightjarstar did say that Nightjarstar liked squirrel so maybe you should listen to his advice and give Nightjarstar a squirrel." Snowblossom was blinking with confusion by the time she was done. "Hello there Nightjarstar." Elfinpaw added as the warrior looked to her side and widened her eyes. Snowblossom swiftly bounced away as her flared hot with embarrassment as she finally notice who she had been talking to.

Riddlemask watched with thinly veiled amusement as Thunderpaw lashed his tail in frustration as he was sprayed with dirt. Thunderous was by no means a clean and proper cat, but it was one thing for him.to get himself dirty and another for someone. It was even more annoying for some reason when it was your sibling. "Riddlemask." He shoveled as the older tom laughed at his facial expression.
The didn't appear to care or even notice that he had done most of the work if he didn't mind it he wasn't going to complain about it.
"Let's head back I want to see if anything else needs to be done before setting up patrols." The toms paused in their tomfoolery to listen to their deputy. She began heading yet paused for the others to walk along side her.

  • ooc: Great idea, thanks moon. Is that okay with you Red?

ic: Northernaurora appeared and nudged her apprentice "Hey, would you like to go on a small patrol with me?" The nebula asked, her eyes softening as she awaited her apprentices answer. Her eyes glittered with sadness at her former leaders death, yet she knew Nightjarstar would make a wonderful leader, she had developed a crush on him over the years, but refused to show anything. Her eyes landed on Winterphantom and she beckoned him with her tail "Would you care to join me and my apprentice on a patrol?" she asked, her tone soft, yet had an edge on it. This she-cat rarely showed any emotion whatsoever, she remained almost impossible to read, except for if ehr eyes showed it, they often did.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; width: 450px; margin-bottom: -20px; borderwidth=0px; letter-spacing: 4px; font-size: 10pt; font-family: georgia; text-transform: none; text-align: center; border-bottom: 1px solid #6e0000;] red .[/fancypost]

. Nightjarstar purred with amusement. "I guess I'm in a rabbit mood today," the leader meowed, bending down and picking up the fresh-kill. Its fur tickled his nose, and he twitched his muzzle for a little before staring at Snowblossom. "Care to share?" He asked, amusement tingling his voice. He jerked his head toward the front of his den, and padded on over. He settled down and waited for the she-cat to arrive.

. (recap on the first post)

    [/fancypost]

  • Snowblossom kept her ears plastered down more in embarrassment than anything else. It was good to see that the leader was amused rather than insulted, although she was comfortable enough with all the toms in the clan, even more frightening Winterphantom, she couldn't shake the feeling just yet that they were explosive ticking bombs just waiting to go off. She did manage to lift one ear at a slight angle to hear what it was he was say. If her eyes had widened any more they certainly would of of fallen out of her head. She was doing one of the happiest dances-within her head of course if had Riddlemask's courage she might of done now that would be a big might. Embarrassment had her nearly tripping over her paws as padded over to accompany the leader, shyness had her sitting a little far from Nightjarstar to share a meal, and than that bothersome self consciousness had her tongue and made it hard to talk. She didn't think there were any words that could possible express her gratitude at being allowed to share a meal with the tom. "Thank you." She settled on that as the ears flared another few shades of red.

The deputy trotted back into camp and glanced around as Riddlemask paused beside her clearly eager to be sent on a patrol and help out the clan. Thunderpaw was lost in his own thoughts yet was pulled out of them as he heard his mentor's voice. He slipped around the two cat ahead of her to meet her as she asked about patrol. He shrugged his slowly broadening shoulders, and didn't seem to care what they did so long as he was trainings. The looming shadow of a monstrous sized tom came from his right side. Winterphantom as always lived up to his name, the massive Tom gave no word nor indication he was joining other than merely being there. So Thunderpaw turned his head and told his mentor. "You should tell Cursedheart your taking out a patrol."

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; width: 450px; margin-bottom: -20px; borderwidth=0px; letter-spacing: 4px; font-size: 10pt; font-family: georgia; text-transform: none; text-align: center; border-bottom: 1px solid #6e0000;] red .[/fancypost]

. Continuing to purr with amusement, the leader bent down and took a generous bite out of the kill, chewing on the tender meat and enjoying the taste before pushing the rabbit toward the she-cat. He felt slightly weird, that Snowblossom was sitting a little far away, but he didn't comment on it, just deciding on that he smelt funny. Maybe he'll go visit the river and take a swim, he doesn't know. Tilting his head at Snowblossom's words, he blinked. "Thank me for what? You're the one who's kind enough to think about my hunger rather than yours," he meowed. "If anyone should be thanked, it would be you."

    [/fancypost]

  • The nebula laughed as she turned and shook her head "Nah, let's not disturb her when she's busy already." She murmured, turning and flicking her tail to head out. Her eyes scanning the outside for anything. She was a cat who cared about others safety more than her own. Personally, the she-cat usually never ate anything big, only taking a vole or mouse to eat if ever eating in the morning.

  • Thunderpaw frowned heavily at his mentor's answer, as much as he liked her there were days where he wonder why she held the rank she had. This was one of those many days. He had suggested speaking with Cursedheart because she was going to start sorting out patrols. It would be wiser to let her know one of them was leaving in case she wished to add any more cats or know of one more patrol less she would need to do. She also wouldn't need to send out another patrol to do the same task they were heading out to do. The tom sighed loudly as he cast the expresdionless Winterphantom a glance. The older warrior gave no sign of any disdain of the she cat's chose. But he did wait as Thunderpaw ignored the signal to head out and wander over to the deputy. He gave a swift few words and got a nodded from Cursedheart before padding back over to follow after his mentor, Winterphantom bringing up the rear.

Snowblossom gazed at the tom as he with mismatched eyes, and than abruptly brought them down to her paws. She had been told once or twice about how weird and creepy it was when she stared at a cat for a tad bit to long with different colored eyes. She raised them slightly when the rabbit was passed in her direction, growing slowly more comfortable as the heat in her ears died away to a bright pink color. His comment had a butterfly smile dancing on her maw. "Oh, I meant thank you for sharing with me." She explained almost bashfully. She looked down at the rabbit and parted her maw before taking a small chunk out of it. She had never actually eaten rabbit and often avoided it if possible. Since her little run in with a mother rabbit and her babies when she had first joined the clan Snowblossom was not fond of rabbit. "Ah!" She exclaimed with a large grin and wave of her tail. "This does taste better than vole." She told Nightjarstar as if he understood completely what she was talking about. She passed the rabbit back over to him almost eager to get it back.

  • The nebula began her trek out into the woods. She never actually needed to prove herself to the deputy. Northernaurora paused as she heard a sound and her ears perked "Do you guys hear that?" She asked, her eyes scanning her surroundings. Her tail flicked in alarm as she heard the rustling again.

  • [fancypost bgcolor=transparent; width: 450px; margin-bottom: -20px; borderwidth=0px; letter-spacing: 4px; font-size: 10pt; font-family: georgia; text-transform: none; text-align: center; border-bottom: 1px solid #6e0000;] red .[/fancypost]
    [fancypost bgcolor=transparent bordercolor=transparent borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; letter-spacing: 1px; color: #000000; font-family: georgia; text-transform: none; text-align: justify; justify; border-left: 3px double #000000;]

. Nightjarstar flicked his tail for a moment, then wrapped it around himself when the rabbit was passed back to him. He bent down and took another bite, purring at Snowblossom's exclamation. "Yes, voles are cool but rabbits are cooler," he meowed, agreeing completely with her words. He passed the vole back to Snowblossom. "Sometimes I see mother rabbits," he meowed, seeing as it was a common thing in these thickets for rabbits to raise their young in. They're also rather active and producing young, so it was much more common for them to appear than mother mice or mother birds or mother voles. "And I let them go when I realized their younglings are too young to fend for themselves. But not this one," the leader pointed to the rabbit they're eating. "This one's male."

  • [font=trebuchet ms][size=8]Electraheart's aqua gaze fleeted over the camp, letting a small sigh escape her jaws before she got up to her paws. It was no use sitting there, she might as well try to be of use. The small she cat looked around at the other cats who were all conversing with eachother, and she padded over to the fresh kill pile after hearing her belly rumble. The she cat let out an embarrassed mumbke before picking a small mouse from the pile. She moved a few tail length away before tucking into the mouse and quickly finished her meal, running her salmon pink tongue over her lips.
