    Lapiskit was tucked away in a corner like usual. Being the introvert she was, she attempted to stay isolated from those who roamed the halls. Interaction wasn't really her thing--she'd much rather stay curled up reading a book. In fact, that was what she was doing at that moment. In front of her she held a book about oceanic animal life, and she was quite intrigued by the information the hardcover literature was offering her. Man-of-war jellyfish; urchins; killer whales; coral; manatees; octopus; there was a lot the book contained, and she was mesmerized by the complex paragraphs.

  • [align=center][fancypost bgcolor=transparent; bordercolor=transparent; font-family: ttimes new roman; text-align :justify]lacey couldn't read or count, sadly, so she had no idea what the words said. hovering above the ground beside lapiskit, the horned demon stared at the pages. "what do they say?" she asked, blinking.

    Hearing the battering of wings above her, Lapiskit jumped in surprise and soon tuned into her words with a growing fascination. The sapphire-tinted kitten looked to her as if Lacey had grown a head. "You mean... the words?" she clarified dumbly, her gaze flicking between the cyan colored book and the winged feline. After her awe began to calm down, she realized her rudeness and quickly murmured an apology. "Well, the book's about marine biology--or water-dwelling creatures."

    "oh. you like marine biology?" lacey asked, twitching her tail. she personally was more interested in the anatomy of the creatures she saw roaming hawkclan. she wanted to dissect a lot of her clanmates.

    Lapiskit looked up to the winged demon, shifting uncomfortably at the sudden increase in social interaction. It wasn't often that she held a conversation for so long, and the timid kitten was anxious at the new experience. "It is one of the more interesting subjects." the female remarked, her eyes flickering back to her book. Marine biology was definitely an ambiguous topic; only 5% of the ocean was discovered, after all. Nonetheless, the ocean was a majestic place for housing animal life, and a great learning experience for Lapiskit.

    "Um, what fascinates you?" she added softly as the thought left her mouth, thinking it would be smart to get to know at least one of her clanmates better than the acquaintance level. Besides, she found it nice to learn about others and what went on in their heads.

    "anatomy and neurology. ironic, since i'm kinda fucked up in the head myself." she grinned. "pardon my not-french."

    [i'm sorry for the short post! i have to leave right now]

    The downy-furred being flinched at the harsh words, not expecting the sudden use of such profanities. "Neurology... I'm guessing that has something to do with neurons in your brain?" she looked to Lacey for clarification, her ears twitching as she anticipated her next remark. Neurology wasn't something she was familiar with, but she assumed it had something to do with the body's neurons. As for anatomy, she herself was intrigued by the subject--she was a curious kitten after all.

    //that's alright, i understand!
