Emberpaw narrowed her eyes, her pelt bristling. "Why would you know a Riverclan cat?" she hissed.

Phoenixtalon jumped as her young apprentice bristled, "We met at a Gathering. And technically, he's only half RiverClan. His mother was ThunderClan." He cursed himself under his breath for his loose tongue. "But I didn't tell you that." Afterall, this had been told to him in confidence, had it not?

Emberpaw spat. What kind of a Windclan cat was he? Being buddies with a Riverclan...no Half-Clan, even worse, would only weaken a warrior. The flaming pelted she-cat lifted her head, gold eyes intense. "The only clan worth conversing is Windclan," she said hotly. "Besides, there is no use in making friends," she hissed the word. "With cats that are only going to die in battle."

IC: Phoenixtalon shook his head. There was much anger in this apprentice, but there was no doubt she was loyal. "Actually, that's what gatherings are for. Ask anycat. You make friends. You're still loyal to your Clan, but it's nice to get to know different cats that you don't have to constantly put up with." He wasn't scolding his apprentice, but he didn't exactly agree with her.

OOC: i've been having a lot of family drama (some involving DHR, so yeahh.. i've been way too busy to get on and i'm so so so so SO sorry, but i will try to be somewhat more active.) if u want a new mentor, i would completely understand.
IC: Phoenixtalon rolled his eyes, "You probably will someday, but in the meantime, do what you will." He continued towards the border.
