  • Haven't been on in a while, and I thought there was a seperate board for requests like this, but oh well. I'm looking for someone who regularly para/novellas their posts to help me get back into the groove. I used to para with ease, but my vocabulary has gone straight down the drain, and I'm looking to get back into the highly advanced game. Looking for someone with a high range of topic interests as well.

In short, if you don't think you're advanced enough, you probably aren't :P I'm not trying to be a jerk(I'll happily RP with anyone who can type/speak proper English), but I want to get back to the apex of my role-playing days!

  • I think I could help you out with that! I consider myself highly advanced, and you can take a look at my Volare thread if you need any proof of that. It ranges anywhere from a few paragraphs to 1,000+ Word posts. It's been my only consistent thread for a long time now, since just about everyone else I played with has gone inactive, and I've been looking for other highly advanced players to start new stuff with now I'm on Winter break.

As for topics, I think I've got a pretty good range there. I typically stick with felines, canines, and humanoids for characters, but plot-wise I usually like just about anything that isn't pure romance. Action, slice-of-life, mystery, post-apocalypse, zombies, supernatural.. I'll stop myself before I make some big list. I've only got a few characters I've been using actively(Sphinx, Leo, and Tidepaw, which you can find by clicking the "My Characters" link in my signature), but I've got no problems making new ones--though they probably won't be as developed as my Sphinx in Volare until after I've played them for awhile.

But yeah! I can tell you're an advanced roleplayer just by the way you talk/type. In my experience, that's a rare quality on this site, so I'd love to play with you if you're interested! :)

  • Awesome, thank you! I noticed that too much casual role-play, a few sentences at a time, were really starting to diminish the vocabulary I was using, and it was really starting to frustrate me!

I do have one post-apocolyptic thread up now, that, admittedly, I'm too lazy to retrieve- The Walking Dead: Season Unending. I'm more than willing to join any other roleplay as well, Warriors related or otherwise. I just recently created a female feline profile for an infiltrator-type character, so I might be interested in using her a little later on :)

Thank you for the compliments as well, they were not passed over! I'm glad at least some of my writing skill still exists: if it hadn't, I'd be very dissapointed indeed! Can't wait to start working with you... after I get a few hours of sleep, at least! :)

  • I generally aim for a strong paragraph or more myself, now. Of course, all the huge posts in Volare might've jaded me towards smaller replies. :P (Bellerophon[Prolo's player] is at least as advanced as I am, if not moreso, too, if you'd like to try and play with them sometime. They've been inactive for a little while now, but I assume they've just been buried under college and work.)

I'm not terribly familiar with The Walking Dead universe(I haven't watched it yet, but I did play some of the game), but I think I could look into that. "Zombie apocalypse" usually isn't too hard to figure out. This site is so huge that I've lost track of where to post new characters, so if I'll probably just add them into my character gallery if I make a new one or two for that. (I don't think I need to post a bio anywhere else unless I'm playing in the "main game" anyways, which I've never done.) Since Volare's been my only thread for awhile, I don't have any open ones of my own, but Feline-wise, I'm always looking to play with any of the ones in my gallery. I have lots of muse for the three I mentioned before, and the rest all desperately need some TLC and character development.

I'm looking forward to it as well! I'll probably be heading to bed shortly, too. Though since my winter break just started.. I'll probably get more than a few hours for once. xP

  • I'm not particulairly concerned about one thread or another, I'm mostly just aiming to bring my writing skills back up to where they used to be- feel free to criticize me during sessions on where I can improve!

I'm not in any particular need to post bios either, I'm sure we could write up a quick description in the first few posts to make any bio unneccessary. We could just run it with mystery, intrigue, and most of all, descriptive writing! But... I'm kinda short on ideas lol. I just marathoned Season 1 of the Walking Dead, so I'm kinda mentally right there :P But I'm down for multiple RPs, I'm pretty good about not mixing up stories at all! Promise!

  • Heh, I've been Marathoning(Is that a word?) Supernatural myself. I'm on Season 8 of that now. Though, the show's plot revolves almost entirely around the two main characters(There's not even really more than a few recurring minor characters), so it might be hard to roleplay in that universe--unless we had a good "DM" to control NPCs.

So I think I can look into that Walking Dead roleplay. Or we could roleplay something Warriors-esque, or something entirely different. Or all of the above! I don't really have any major preference, nor do I have any problem doing multiple roleplays at once either. It has been awhile since I've made an in-depth new character, though. Sphinx has been my go-to character for a pretty long time now, so I might have to re-adjust to doing multi-para roleplays with anyone else. Also, the whole lack of ideas thing is usually how I end up doing "Slice-of-life" roleplays. Not that they aren't fun on their own, but oftentimes I do that so they can develop a plot on their own.

Also, sorry for not replying sooner. I hadn't had a good night's rest since the semester started, and.. I slept 14 hours. I started my day(at 5PM) by playing all the games I haven't had time to play in months, and the time kinda got away from me.

  • I can sympathize with no sleep. I work night shifts. But I'm willing to work with anything when it comes to RP- even multiple characters, so long as I can work them in a way that will be uncomplicated :) And yeah, I'd say Marathoning is a word, even if my browser says it isn't :).

I'd say one of Warriors, maybe one of Walking Dead, and after that, throw a few more in there for good measure :)

  • Blah, sorry, stuff has been pretty crazy for me lately with the holidays!

But yeah. I'll see if I can't throw together a character for that Walking Dead roleplay, assuming that there's nothing too specific about it I need to know other than "generic zombie apocalypse." I didn't come across anything different from the generic stuff in the game, anyways, so I assume there's no Spitters or Chargers or weird mutations to the virus or anything I need to know about. And if I can't think of a character, I can always recycle one of my other characters into human form. It wouldn't be the first time I've done it.

For Warriors, I think I mentioned before how I'd work with that. Anyone in my gallery's good, and if none of them catch your interest I can always make a new cat or two. For topics, as with anything, I'm open to anything that isn't exclusively romance. :)

And for anything else, well.. that pretty much includes anything else. Aside from romance the only stuff I'm not real into the idea of roleplaying is childish or cartoony stuff (Think stuff like My Little Pony, Adventure Time, Spongebob, etc.) Stuff I do like includes, but is not limited to: Demi-gods, vampires, werewolves, witches, conduits(If you've played Infamous), normal humans when there's a fun plot or setting--in other words, basically anything focusing around humanoids with some kind of supernatural ability or power. Or, to put it more simply: Fantasy! Generally stuff that couldn't or is very unlikely to happen in the real world(or that most people might think you were crazy for believing could happen.) Less fantastical scenes, with humans at least, tend to bore me because I get enough of bland and normal offline. :P

So yeah! To sum all that up: I'll try and actually get something up in that Walking Dead thread of yours, and in the meantime, any of my cats that you like, or other fantasy topics that you'd enjoy playing? (Either from a book/game/movie or something original. I'm flexible, and I've read/played/watched most of those things that have a good fantasy element to them.)
