Feeling as if Teddy was looking for her, she gingerly stepped into the scene, fixing at one of her gloves and looking at her feet, not meeting anyone's eye.

Feeling as if Teddy was looking for her, she gingerly stepped into the scene, fixing at one of her gloves and looking at her feet, not meeting anyone's eye.
'I knew you were there, this is Adelaide. Adelaide, this is Bree, my new house maid.' Adelaide looked up from her nails, raising one eyebrow. She stood up and held out her hand, forcing a fake smile. 'I'm Adelaide, Teddy's soon to be girlfriend. It's nice to meet you.'

The words, 'soon to be girlfriend' struck Bree, and she didn't know why. She shook Adelaide's hand, noticing her nature, which seemed that she was annoyed by Bree. She then let go of her hand, looking to Teddy, saying,
"What am I to do now, master?"
'Follow me,' He replied, tugging her arm slightly in the direction they were headed in. He walked up the path of the stairs and walked into his study room.

Bree was a little curious as to what she was to do, but complied, nonetheless, and followed him, sheepishly at that.
Teddy stood near one of the windows, gazing out at the morning life of the forested areas. 'Ever since you've arrived at this house, meaning yesterday, a strange sort of feeling has taken over this area. I'm not quite sure of it, but I don't want you to feel out of place at all, and please don't mind anything that Adelaide has to air. I'm sure air fills about 50% of her head.' Smiling, he turned towards her, taking his glasses out of their place.

"Out of place? N-not at all!" Bree said, with a nervous laugh, of course she felt that way, but knowing he felt... different, reassured her a bit. She just stood to the side, not meeting his eyes or his smile, afraid she might melt under his presence.
'It's okay if you tell me how you're truly feeling, I won't say anything against it. I'm sure Adelaide has made you very uncomfortable, I could see it in both of your faces. Tonight she will be attending and you may as well. I wouldn't want to exclude my only maid, that wouldn't be very fair.' Teddy stayed in place, hands in his pockets once more. 'I've got a surprise for you, it's in my dresser behind me. You may look at what it is.' His words sliced through the air with clarity.

The young girl actually wasn't sure what she could say about her true feelings, so she didn't reply to him. She just gave a gentle sigh, not really wanting to attend the party that she'd have to clean up after, but decided she may as well. At the "surprise" her head perked up in interest, and she made her way behind him to the dresser to open it.
A gown made from the finest silks and gold flowed out from the dresser. The neckline had been a sweetheart neckline, and the dress was altered into a high-low style, the back longer than the front. The gold silk had been made into patterns along the dress, the rest had been ivory white. 'I decided you would need a fine gown if you were to attend tonight. Do you like it?' He turned to gaze at her, then the dress.

Bree took the beautiful dress out of it's container. She was marveled by it and it's beauty. She looked up at Teddy with wide eyes.
"F-for me? I-i love it..." she whispered, looking at the gown once more.
'I knew you would, wear it whenever you can, or whenever you'd like.' He flashed her a generous smile before making his way to the door, stopping in the way. 'Tonight will be special, and if you could clean around some of the rooms before the guests arrive that would be wonderful.'

Bree gave a slow nod, still staring at the gown, even after he left.
Soon she went to her chambers, placing the gown on her bed while she went to clean.
Night began to fall upon the Mason residence, and stars began to glow sharper in the twilight sky. Guests began to arrive in the lit house, each wearing a beautiful gown or a suit and tie. The chandelier was put into good use, and the newly waxed floor had glistened by the reflection of the light. Teddy shook hands with people downstairs, tables put up with name cards for each person.

Bree had finished cleaning, now humming a song to herself as she changed into the gown. She swayed in it gently, looking and smiling at herself in the mirror, she looked quite elegant. She then opened her door, heading to where she thought everyone was.
The night continued to go on as classical music had been played by the finest orchestra. Teddy smoother his own suit before going up and making a critical announcement.
'Welcome ladies and gentlemen. We are all gathered here tonight to celebrate my dear friend Thomas's 23rd birthday!' He raised his glass up for a toast to his friend.

Bree heard the wound of music playing, and she hummed along gently. Then Teddy's voice ringed through the air, and for some odd reason, her heart began to race. She lead her feet to the wound of his voice.
'Refreshments are found in the dining hall, and the rest is up to you. Have a wonderful evening, and I hope you have a great birthday Thomas.' Smiling, he returned the mic to its formal place before making his way down. He spotted Bree amongst the crowd, and made his way to her. 'Are you enjoying yourself?' He asked her quietly, grinning.

Bree gave a quaint nod, looking at him with a small smile.
Though afterwards- I am not looking forward to having to clean up these people's.... mess... she thought, though did not show it as she just continued smiling.
'If there is anything you need, just be sure to tell me. I'd be happy to help.' He tilted his head slightly before taking her hand in his and planting a light kiss on it. 'Tonight you are a guest, not a maid. Remember that.' Grinning, he turned on his heels and began make his way to his study to retrieve his glasses.
