-
Moonpool cried silently. She hung her tail low and padded over to grasskits lifeless body. "You will be with your mother now, little one."
Brambleflame sighed and looked at his paws sadly.
-
"You should tell the other kits." Bumblestorm whispered.
-
"He's happy now." Duskpelt mewed. "Grasskit said it himself."
-
"so how many cats are in your family"the cougar said unaware of what was going on in the camp
-
Sweetberry's spirit was pacing though the nursery. "Come, my kit." she meowed.
-
Greykit wondered what was going on outside.
-
Blackkit went over to Moonpool. "Whats wr..." he meowed before he smelt his brother. "Hey, Grasskit, whats going on? Why are you laying down In the middle of the camp? Moss is more compfey." he meowed.
-
There was only his lingering voice that remained. "I'm happy now...." It said.
"He's... dead." Duskpelt mewed.
-
Blackkit looked around with sightless eyes. He turned to face Moonpool, then duskpelt, them Thrushclaw, and back again. "What? No! NO!" he put his nose to his brothers pelt. "Grasskit... come back... no.. GRASSKIT! Come back! Do you hear me?" he wailed. "No!"
-
"I'm happy now...." Grasskit's voice said.
"He's in a happy place." Duskpelt mewed. "He didn't like Greykit... her getting all the attention.... He likes it In Starclan.
-
Blackkit growled. "HE didnt LIKE his SISTER? You have got to be kidding me!" he hissed at the cat.
-
"He thought she got all of the attention and felt like he was ignored." Duskpelt mewed calmly.
-
Blackkit hissed at Duskpelt. "Maybe you should just shut your jaw about my family and go back where you came from, you, fat, lazy kittypet!" he sobbed and ran out of camp.
Thrushclaw started to go after him. "Blackkit, wait!" he called.
Cometstar came up behind Thrushclaw. "Let him go." he meowed, putting his tail on his shoulder. -
Duskpelt sighed. He didn't like to be called a kitty-pet. But Blackkit lost a family member. So he had to just let it go.
-
Blackkit ran, and he ran crying. He stoped at an old oak by the border. He used his long claws and made a dent in the bark, a mark that would stay there forever,
-
Again. Grasskit's starry figure appeared. "Blackkit...." He soothed.
-
Blackkit looked around with sightless eyes. "Grasskit?"
