  • "I'll be right back." Lucas told her before leaving the room, a sigh coming from him as he walked into the kitchen. He grabbed two bottles of water, then soon walked back into his bedroom, handing her a water bottle before he laid on the bed, closing his eyes for a moment.

  • "Welcome." Lucas said while pressing the water bottle into his forehead, a habit he had done since high school. It calmed him down considerably. "Besides Parker, how have you been?" He asked softly.

  • "Other than him, I have been well. I graduated fairly high in my class, moved back here and opened my business after about six months of planning and it has been the bulk of my life since I opened," She tells him with a small smile.

  • "That's good." Lucas told her while opening his eyes and looked over at her. He looked up at the ceiling for the moment, dropping the water bottle off his face. "What about your brother and sister, are they okay?"

  • "Played football at Ohio State. Got a job there." Lucas shrugged softly, looking over at her before glancing down at his phone as it buzzed. He said it so casually, but it was obvious how proud of himself he was. It was a big accomplishment for him to even make it into his dream university.

  • "Yeah." Lucas finally grinned, clearly excited over telling her this. "The only thing I have to say about Ohio though is that the weather sucks." He laughed while shaking his head slightly, thinking about the bipolar weather.

  • "I come here every year for the holidays." Lucas said, rubbing the back of his neck. "I'm not staying here, I'm just here to visit. You realize that, right?" He asked softly, just to make sure she knew he was only here for a week.

  • "I know." Lucas said softly, sitting up on the bed and looking her over curiously. He opened up his water and took a sip. He listened for a moment and heard Paz's door open, the music stopping. "Lucas?" Paz called out, knocking on his door. "Is Anna in there?" She asked, walking in. "Yes, come in, dear sister." Lucas said while rolling his eyes.

  • "I was just coming to tell you that I'll be gone for the rest of the day." Paz said while opening the door, looking over the two and realizing she probably ruined the moment. "So, see you tonight." She said before leaving the room, shutting the door behind her. "She has finals this week." He explained to Anna lightly.

  • Lucas smiled faintly, looking in front of him for a moment with a small sigh before he looked over at Anna. "You should come to a football game with me." He said suddenly, looking very hopeful.

  • Anna raises a brow at him in surprise, though she smiles at him, "Really?" She asks him, starting to think about the wedding that she has to go to in a couple of days that would be a night time ceremony and a morning reception.

  • "Yes, really." Lucas told her while nodding his head, proving his point more. "I always have tickets because my job, but I ed up giving them away to friends because I have no one to give them to." He felt his phone buzzing and picked it up for a moment, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion for a moment before he put his phone down again.
