  • [fancypost bgcolor=; bordercolor=transparent; width: 350px][justify][size=8]She didn't know why. It was unexplainable. One moment she'd been fine, smiling and making sarcastic comments to her friends, and the next a wave of sadness had engulfed her, like a hole was being carved in her chest. She had ran away from the others, her long tail puffing up in fear, or some other emotion that made her heart race.

The petite fawn calico sat outside, fur stained wet with the tears that had ran down her cheeks. The stars glittered above and the moon, full and bright, stared coldly down at her. She averted her gaze. She didn't notice the pale form of a cat padding up beside her. Its paws were silent and its fur was covered in a white sheen.

"Rikki," it whispered. She looked blue eyes widening in fear but feeling paralysed, unable to move her heavy limbs. "Who - who is it?" Rikki demanded, a little defiance in her voice. The spirit came forwards and purred. Rikki scrambled backwards, choking, and crouched down. "Mum?" she whispered, eyes narrowed. The spirit nodded.

"You're dead. You're dead?" shrieked the sentinel. Anger filled her heart and mind, and her lips drew back in a snarl, eyes filled with tears. "Why did you have to leave us? Your mate - he loved you, and so did I - I thought you would have cared about your only kit." The spirit shook her head in frustration.

"You don't understand. Rikki," the spirit implored, form flickering. Rikki glared, backing up. "Oh, I understand just fine," she choked out, almost a growl, and ran. Back, back to TidalClan. At least she could rely on them.

  • Spotting the she-cat running back into the mall G'reth had walked down from the level that he was on and went to go see if she was alright. As he reached the main level he came to stand beside Stacey with a small flick of his tail. "Are you alright?" he mewed, sandy eyes concerned.

"Do I look okay?" she growled, and then scrambled backwards, shaking her head and huffing. "Alright, no. I saw my mother. She's dead. She says she's...sorry. For leaving me and my dad. I don't believe her," the sentinel blurted out, glancing up.
