His hands trailed across the side of the brick building, thick calluses stopping the rough edges from hurting. His pistol was gripped in his other hand, pointed down, his knuckles turned white. His face was streaked with tiredness and a bit of dirt, but an overall confidence that said 'We must go on'. He looked past the old wooden door of the abandoned pub, and motioned silently for the girl behind him to follow. She did so willingly, and he kicked down the ancient door, firing the gun at abruptly nothing. But oh, there were screams. Rival screams. Another gun was pulled out from the shelf, and the two found themselves taken over. They ran back to their deserted house.
Meanwhile, she was sitting on the tarnished couch of the renovated pub, the gang-clip. The clubhouse, what some sh.tty kids might call it. She flipped through the pages of an old magazine boredly, until they showed up and started firing. A bullet got her arm and she instantly whipped out her own gun, firing bullets back as she was being hit. She knew she'd gotten one as they slowly back out and eventually turned an ran. "You alright?" a boy by her side asked. She nodded, but the single question always remained: When will they be back?

They were both in New York City, to begin and to end with. It was almost the false-capitol of the country, where everything was. The lights, the cameras, the action, the gangs. Ah the gangs - The Young and The Reckless, both formed years ago when a break-up started a major fight. The founders are long dead and gone from gun wounds, but who's to care about someone else? Certainly not them.

The Young was always the weaker gang. They had less people, and the people they had were 'less experienced' in running a gang-type thing. They ran from fights instead of fighting them, and never seemed to stick around for much. Even though they were tough, they never seemed...tough enough. They grew up with a decent family, and were never starving, but they never seemed to fit in either way.
The Reckless were the opposite. You walked in, you found them all drunk and smoking cigarettes. These are your typical bad guys, and The Reckless is mostly made up of guys. They fought to the death and didn't have a problem with killing people. They simply don't have any minds to themselves anymore - these are the guys who've lost everything they ever had.

But what makes these guys different from everyone else, you ask? Well, each member, Young or Reckless, had a Spirit Animal. Yes, capitalized. What's a Spirit Animal, you ask, again? Suppose your animal was a fox. You'd pick up one trait for your animal, whether it be speed or eyesight or whatever the crap you want. But the animal only gives you one of it's traits. You're close to the animal of that specific species, and you go to it when you need to talk and you don't want to rant to some @sshole human.
