• Raven suddenly leapt up as the fire in her hand sparked. It wasn't fear for herself, but more fear that it would start a larger fire than she could control. Deciding to stop for the moment, she just sat there, suddenly hearing a nice voice. She moved closer a bit, and listened, never trying to see who was singing.

IC: Marth drew a deep breath as he moved through the motions, he unconsciously followed the positions. He twirled the staff and then jabbed, he felt as if he'd been practicing for hours and indeed the sun had begun to fall from its position in the high afternoon sky. He decided to stop and he sat down with a grunt. Behind a dune he continued singing a bit, as he watched the birds nearby stop and peck periodically around the beach, and he couldn't help thinking if the quest would end well. He closed his eyes and attempted to clear his mind, wishing he had the courage most of his siblings seemed to contain so naturally....

  • Oscar was getting nervous, so he did some origami to calm him down. He couldn't help wonder what would happen. This was pretty new to him, being in a prophecy. Well, probably being in a prophecy.

OOC: What exactly did Chiron say they were supposed to do?

  • OOC:he didn't specify, he just told us the prophecy and told us to figure it out...well more like he told Cassidy(Inky) to figure it out, so we're kind of waiting for her verdict now, ;D

    IC:

  • OOC: I edited my post based on that.

  • OOC: Awesome to have ya back ;D

IC: Marth paced back and forth with little idea of what to do next, Cassidy had yet to speak with them, heck, he didn't even know half the people on the quest, let alone what it was about. Maybe the oracle of Delphi knew, he shivered to think of the oracle though, she sometimes wasn't too helpful.

  • OOC: Sorry guys. I was swamped with homework aga u n. :( I have to go after this post.

IC: Cassie finished the third chapter and was ready to move on to the fourth when she decided to stop. When she looked up, she realized that the sun had started to set and that it was almost time to leave. And hang out with the half-bloods that you don't know for who knows how long, she reminded herself. She just couldn't wait.

Cassidy stood and packed the book into her bag before turning back towards the Big House. She had to run and grab a sweatshirt at the last minute because she realized that she had forgotten it, but then she was back on the move. This was the moment she had waited for for her entire life. So why wasn't she happy and excited and cheerful? She was in fact, the complete opposite. And she didn't understand why. Maybe it was because the prophecy's words echoing in her head, she didn't know. But she knew that she was about to leave and that she might not come back.

IC: Marth sat down near the edge of the camp and waited, for what seemed like ages. He hoped to be off soon, yet he still felt a sort of apprehension...he realized today was going to mark him forever...he just didn't know how, that's what scared him.

  • Holly could've talked with her friends long after the sun had set without ever growing bored. It was the one reason she considered them friends, they always had something interesting to say; right now they were trying to recall prdvious that had been completed. However today wasn't like any ordinary day, and the girl couldn't allow herself to tarry any longer listening to their conversation. Once the task of going through another round of goodbyes were done, Holly slowly walked to where she presumed the rest of the questers would meet up, taking her time. She even paused to examine a dandelion that sprouted from a crack in the pavement. Though she would never admit it, she was beginning to feel unsure about the quet. Her confidence was wavering enough for doubt to pour through.

IC: A green moth fluttered through the air in front of Marth's face. His eyes watched the insect's erratic flight and subsequent landing on a leaf on the tree he leaned against. He could barely look at his bag, or the darkening skies without feeling some sense of anxiety, he could feel his heart pound against his ribcage. It was like a drum, beating out a rhythm that mirrored his anxiety. Marth looked, hoping for something to distract himself with and he turned his eyes skyward to look at the clouds as they drifted above.

  • Cassie reached the Big House and realized that they weren't even going to have time to eat before they left! She sighed, not very surprised, and instead waited for the other demigods to arrive. Chiron was no where to be seen, but he would probably come out later to see them off.

  • OOC:

IC: Marth saw the girl demigod cross to go to the Big House, guessing that that was where they'd be leaving from, he shouldered his bag and walked briskly to the Big House, slightly embarrassed that he hadn't thought of waiting at the Big House. As he walked he felt like there was a pit in his stomach, he was hoping no one would realize his nervousness... His pack seemed to be getting heavier with every step, but he assumed as soon as they were on the way, he'd feel easier. If he was nervous, he couldn't imagine what the others were feeling and hoped that he'd be helpful. So, in order to give off a good vibe and make the others less nervous, he walked briskly and overall, made sure he didn't look depressing. They didn't need anymore sour feelings as it was...

  • Holly surveyed the people mingling around the Big house, a hand reaching up to brush away a strand of hair that had come loose from the bun she had tied. She began to walk at a more leisurely pace, head held high and posture straight, taking her time. As she approached, the Aphrodite girl plastered on her signature smile. A bonus of being a child of Aphrodite was that trying to be charming was as easy as blinking- most of the time. Holly had to be in a good mood to be able to muster up any form of politeness, thankfully she was as of this moment. Once she was close enough, she spoke:"You guys are my companions for the quest I take it?"

  • OOC:

IC: Marth happily stuck out his hand and smiled, he wanted to be on good terms and well...to be honest she was really cute, it was hard to resist. "Yes, I'm Marth, and I you are...?" He asked, Marth could feel his cheeks burn and was thankful he was tan and it didn't show too much.

  • OOC: Sorry I've been gone for so long! :(

IC: Cassie looked at the girl, the only one she knew on this quest, and tried not to show her disgust. Aphrodite children always seemed to be obnoxious and conceited, and Cassie just didn't get along with people like that. When Marth started to get all choked up, Cassie scoffed aloud and rolled her eyes. He may have been charmed and fooled by her facade, but she wasn't. Her head turned to the side as she looked away, suddenly slightly embarrassed that she had scoffed audibly. Calm down, Cassie. Give her a chance. Maybe she'll be nice after all, she thought to try and soothe her nerves. Introduce yourself of something! "I'm Cassie," she said lamely to Marth and Holly.

  • A look of delight flickered across Holly's expression as she grasped the offered hand, enjoying the attention. "Marth? thats a real unique name, real mysterious, I like it," she commented, practically gushing, humour twinkling in her eyes. She wouldn't be forgetting his name any time soon- no one else in camp halfblood was called that." My names Holly, yknow, im surprised I haven't heard of you from my sisters, they normally have a knack for spotting hot people," she geniunely sounded dissapointed at that. Her gaze flitted to Cassie, noticing her little scoff."hi blondie, wheres everyone else? " more eager to lay her eyes upon the other teammates, the child of aphrodite, subtly gave cassie the cold shoulder, turning to peer behind her.

Ooc- sorry on my phone :3

  • OOC:

IC: Marth felt the blaze on his cheeks burn again at the mention of being 'hot' and he quickly wished he wasn't so easily embarrassed and mentally berated himself for stuttering a bit. He bristled a bit about the name comment, he'd always been sensitive about it, but he bit back a retort and reserved himself to the normal pleasantries of saying hello. He wasn't completely oblivious to the charged atmosphere between the two girls...ok, he was completely oblivious to it which only gods knew would lead to trouble. For now, he agreed with Holly, curious as to where the others were. He responded to the compliment with a nod and a thanks, "Holly's a nice name as well, I'm happy to meet you." he answered. He hoped the others would join them soon, he knew three of them so far and was excited to meet the others. Marth stood back though, hoping Cassie would feel included and hopefully begin to open up a bit. In the mean time, he was desperately trying not to embarrass himself too much.

  • Cassie looked away and tried to drown out the flirting happening next to her. She knew that all Holly would do was use Marth until something better came along as she had dealt with people like him before. She instead tried to look for the other's in the quest, hoping for someone to talk to that would be normal.

  • Oscar had his things packed in a duffel bag and headed to the Big House, entering the room. "Hey, guys, sorry I'm late for the meeting!" He said, casually and sneakily snatching a piece of silverware from one of the shelves, since it looked shiny and valuable and he felt like it. He looked at the flirting and chuckled, because he remembered a guy he knew that was pretty much immune to flirting and seduction, and how hilarious it was when an Aphrodite kid tried to flirt with him for whatever they wanted, and the utter shock on their face. Ah... I wonder how he's doing, he thought to himself, then turned back to the group, the random silver spoon in his pocket. "So... what's the conversation topic."

  • Holly sent another smile in Marth's direction, seemingly flattered as she giggled. One would think that a person would eventually become unfazed if they were constantly showered in appraisal; that wasn't necessarily the case for Holly. Any form of positive comments that were about her, always pleased her. It was nice to be reminded of how great you were. As she waited, her gaze slipped back to Cassie on more than one occasion, observing the silent girl curiously. She was tempted to try and start a conversation with her, but still huffy over being scoffed at, continued to pretend as if she wasn't there.

Finally, another person arrived. Holly perked up, looking very much like a child who was given a large present. She had forgotten how great it was to meet new people, well, see them anyway. Much like a person would marvel at art, Holly liked to marvel over the physical appearance's of people. It was an Aphrodite thing- or maybe just herself being weird."We're just getting to know each other, Talking about our past girlfriends and boyfriends, the usual stuff. Do you have any?" The girl clasped her hands behind her back as she spoke. She was lying of course, but you couldn't blame her for trying to pry when it came to this sort of thing. Besides, what better way to understand somebody than know of their past relationships?
