Firebird turned her head towards Mountainstar as he spoke. "Hello Mountainstar!" She mewed, "How are you today?"
Blackpaw padded out of the Apprentices' Den and towards the Fresh-Kill Pile. She eyed the blackbird for a moment before shrugging off her hunger and padding away to sit alone in the shade.
"Good so far," Mountainstar said with a slight chuckle. He padded up to the fiery orange she-cat, looking at the fresh kill pile. The tall tom reached for the black bird Firebird caught. "Nice catch", he mumbled around a mouth full of feathers.
Risingsun padded back into camp. The orange tabby waved his tail at Blackpaw as he padded past.
