He only glanced at the paper before he sighed,"Do you want me to get rid of it?" He asked softly as he looked at her with a gentle and loving gaze

Amber shut her eyes, memories clinking together. She simply nodded, taking a shaky breath as she warded off the thoughts.

He folded it up and thossed it in the trash,"Hey are you okay?"

Amber opened her eyes. "Yeah, I'm fine" she said a little too quickly. Going to the kitchen she pulled out some bread and te toaster.

He walked over,"Why don't you sit down and rest for a bit"

Amber shook her head, "no, I need to make something to eat" she said.

"I'll do it" he said softly

Amber bit her lip again, glancing at him. "I don't want to trouble you with that" she stammered.

Amber glanced at him again, letting out a soft sigh. "I'm serious, I can take care of myself" she said, then winced, biting her bottom lip again.

Amber gasped in surprise, stiffening up. As he set her down her breath caught in her throat, hands starting to shake. She started getting up, "I'm fine, the doctor said applying a bit of pressure evey now and then isn't bad" she argued.
