[size=9pt]Many do not know the origin of the Lazurian Shepherds. Rumors float about, but there are no confirmed or debunked theories. All that is known is that it started with a she-cat known as Nix. Her silver-blue and white tabby coat has become familiar to many others; while some may hiss in resentment, others nod their head in gratitude. Why?
The Lazurian Shepherds do the dirtiest of the dirty work. They rout vicious bands of cats that are intent on causing harm to others. Bandits, rogues, you name it. They have even been known to snuff out the dangerous flames of rebellion.

[size=9pt]The Lazurian Shepherds are a group of vigilantes that have vowed to protect the innocent and good. They have been known to visit Clans to ask the leaders if they need help—sometimes they may even traverse territories to recruit cats who do not feel as if they belong to their Clan or organization.
The Lazurian Shepherds’ headquarters are located in a territory that is rather close to other Clans. While the headquarters are never left alone, many of the Lazurian Shepherds are sent to patrol most of the territories to see what they can help with, sometimes for months at a time. They may return to the headquarters with more than they left with, or sometimes even less.

[size=9pt]The Lazurian Shepherds believe in two entities—Naga and Grima. Naga is the Holy Dragon, the one who embraces the worthy fallen and leads them away to eternal rest. Grima is the Shadow Dragon, the one who consumes the souls of the devious and heartless, tormenting them for countless years.
The Shepherds believe that both peaceful and consumed souls may return to the earthly world to communicate with the living. While the souls belonging to Naga are beautiful and serene, shining in a bright light, Grima’s souls are an absolute terror to look upon. There are some records that state that Grima’s devoured souls are covered in shadow, hunched over with claws unsheathed, and fangs that protrude from their gaping maws.
When two cats become mates, there is usually a ceremony. The lord or lady blesses the union of the two members in the main camp. The whole celebration is similar to the wedding ceremony of humans.

[size=9pt]The territory that belongs to the Lazurian Shepherds is a spectacle to set eyes upon. Residing close to the four main Clans, their land is made up of mostly forest. Many creeks and brooks cross their land, filling the wood with calming sounds of creeping water. As one ventures deeper and deeper into the forest, the trees become more spaced out until the woods abruptly stop before a large wall of rock.
A gaping cave is where the Lazurian Shepherds have their headquarters. The cave is large and deep, comfortably warm and homely. There are various holes in the cave walls, each of them a den for the cats that make up the Shepherds.
The main camp is a large opening in the middle of the cave. There is a rock where the leader of the Lazurian Shepherds sits when they have something to say. The dens surround the main camp, providing an advantage—they will hear any intruders before they set foot near them.

[size=9pt][u]Lord/Lady: the leader of the group/first in command. The leader only has one life, thus, they do not receive lives from an otherworldly source. However, they are extremely well protected by the rest of the Lazurian Shepherds. The lord or lady of the group is usually well-liked by their members, especially the tactician. The lord or lady’s most trusted member takes over when they die. They know some tactics of battle, but focus on the battle itself rather than studying tactics.
[u]Tactician: the second in command. The tactician is also well protected by the members by the Lazurian Shepherds, but not as much as the lord or lady. In other words, they are more expendable than the leader. They are extremely smart—they organize the patrols that can last up to more than three months long, along with battles. Most of the time, they are very close to the lord or lady.
[u]Clerics: members who know how to heal wounds. They are able to fight but are very weak. They are able to have mates as they do not believe in StarClan.
[u]Sages: members who know how to fight and heal wounds. They are older and more experienced than the weaker clerics. They are able to have mates as they do not believe in StarClan.
[u]Members: the basic warriors of the Lazurian Shepherds. Their fighting styles and ages vary. Some may choose to become clerics, others may choose to stay the way they are. The younger members and elders are taken care by the Shepherds as a group.
