• Ooc: Accepted! And thanks for letting me know :)

Ic: Naomi lay curled up on the bench, shivering in the cold foggy air. She huddled under the flannel shirt she had wrapped around herself, trying her best to ignore the cars that whizzed by. She was used to it by now; used to the fact that no one wanted to help her.

  • John drove content on getting home and forgetting about his work hours. As he drove down the street a woman on a bench became his focus, he got this feeling that what he was seeing was just wrong that she didn't belong on the bench trying to sleep out in the cold air. John pulled the car to the side and out of the way of moving cars and got out of the car. He walked over to the bench embracing the cold weather. "Hello, miss." He didn't know what to say in this moment because he had never walked over to a homeless person or that is what he was thinking this woman was, homeless. Anyway he had never just gone up to one and asked what he was now, "do you need a place to stay? or at least a coat or something?" he smiled at the end of his sentence and hoped for a good response from the woman.

Ic: Naomi's eyes slowly opened to the sound of a man's voice, slowly moving her head up to see who was talking. "What?" She mumbled, shivering as the cold stung her nose. As her eyes came into focus she saw a tall figure looming over her, and couldn't help but shrink back on the bench in fear. "Oh.... Please..." She shivered, "I-I don't want any trouble." She didn't know how to react to the person standing in front of her; mainly for the fact that no one has ever really approached her in the first place. Well, before she ended up on the streets, at least.

  • "I was just asking if you needed a place to stay" John put his hands in his coat pockets to keep them warm. "Listen if you want me to leave then I'll leave". He didn't want to make bother her if she didn't want help so he was ready to just go home and relax but he felt there was a good chance she did want help and was willing to go with him. "I got my car running so let's be quick about this miss" John wanted to hurry this up, he didn't like the cold and he was pretty sure the woman who had no coat hated way more then himself.

  • Ooc:

Ic: She nodded slowly as he spoke, shivering as a cold breeze started blowing on her face. Of course she was a bit skeptical, no one has ever offered her help other than handing over a few coins. But his voice sounded kind and honest. And right now, anywhere out of the cold sounded nice. "No, I'd love to be somewhere warm right now. I just don't want to cause you any trouble." She slowly stood up from the bench, finally getting a good look at him. She wrapped her thin flannel around her arms, trying to keep warm. "I would love to come with you... That's not too much to ask, is it?"

  • John smiled faintly "No, that's not to much to ask" he turned and started to walk to the car and waved for her to follow. He opened the passenger side door and stood there waiting for her to get in, he wanted to at least make a good impression on this person. He felt good doing this, he remembered in school when the teachers told you to do something when no was looking or some crap along those lines and how it would make you feel good about yourself and it was true in some cases and this was one of those cases.

  • Ooc:

Ic: She nodded slightly and carefully followed after him, a slight grin forming on her face. She was about to get into the car when she turned to him, wrapping her arms around him. "Thank you." She smiled, before sitting down into the passenger seat. Naomi couldn't help but feel right at home; the cushioned seat in the warm car felt so much nicer to her than a cold park bench. She took off her thin flannel and lay it on her lap, and neatened out her t-shirt so she could at least look nice for the man. It was there when a small bump on her stomach had become visible. "Oh, how rude of me to forget. My name is Naomi."

  • John saw the bump and said nothing, he could get pretty good idea on what had happened to her to bring her out on to the streets pregnant but he would end up asking. He closed the door and walked over to the drivers side and got in, "Well Nomi I'm Johnathan or John up to you really" he started the car up and started driving again. "So how far along are you?" he asked using his thumb to point at the bump. "If you don't mind me asking" he didn't want to ask any questions that may upset her or make her bothered so he picked easy questions.

  • Ooc:

Ic: "Nice to meet you John." She smiled softly as she looked out the window. It wasn't until he had asked the question that her face turned solemn again, as if she were reliving a nightmare. "Oh.... About 3 and a half months." She sighed, putting her hand over the bump. Of course she was happy to be having a child at first, but now it had seemed like a burden.

  • "Do you know if it's a boy or girl yet?" John most likely knew the answer to this one would be no seeing as she was homeless or maybe she just recently became homeless, nevertheless this question was fine. He turned on the radio to try and keep things not awkward, "you can pick the station if you want" he said as he turned the radio on. "Just better be good" he said smirking, he hoped a joke would fix anything he had said before.

  • Ooc:

Ic: Naomi only shook her head, looking down. "No, I wasn't able to find out yet." She looked over at the radio before finally looking up at John again. "Oh no thank you. You can choose the station. Besides, I like seeing what other people listen to." She knew there was a slight awkwardness between the two, so hopefully a slight conversation would help.

  • John nodded and turned it to a rock station, a old song started playing probably 60's or 70's. His apartment came in to view, "well we are here" he was relived. This would end the car ride and make things a bit more comfortable for him, "you should know my apartment is a bit messy" he said as he parked the car. He turned car off and the radio shut it's self off, John looked at her bump "do you need help getting out of the car?" he felt like the question was rude or maybe wrong to ask but he just wanted to make sure.

  • Ooc:

Ic: "That's alright, I don't mind mess; as long as it gets me out of the cold I'm fine." She smiled, "And no thank you, I've got it." She carefully got out of the car and followed behind him, shivering as the cold wind surrounded her again. The outside of the apartment already looked warm and welcoming. "Thank you so much." She said softly, "You really didn't have to do this."

  • John got out of the car and closed the doors locking it. "I know I didn't need to but I wanted to" he said smiling as he opened the apartment block's front door letting Naomi go first. He stepped inside and embraced the heat of the building, "my apartment is on the second floor so a little bit of walking" he said as he climbed the steps that lead up to the second floor. He un-locked his front door and opened it, he let her go inside first and then he turned on the light. He smiled "make yourself at home" he closed the door and took off his shoes letting the comfort of his own apartment set in.

  • Ooc:

Ic: Naomi nodded and followed him up to the room, looking around the halls as they walked. She smiled a thank you before walking in, looking around the house in awe before finding herself a comfy spot on the sofa. She hadn't been in the comfort of a warm house in at least two months, and couldn't be more thankful for it. "Your apartment is lovely." She smiled, letting the warmth sink in. It wasn't until had tiredness took over herself, as she curled up on the couch and slowly found herself falling asleep.

  • John went to his room and took a spare blanket from the foot of his bed and covered the woman, he smiled as he walked back to his room and closed the door and sat down on his bed. John took off his coat and tossed it unto the floor and laid back, he closed his eyes thinking of the repercussions of doing what he had done today. He would have to buy a little bit more food and other things that he didn't have the money for but in the end he knew this whole thing was worth it, He fell asleep to these thoughts.

  • Ooc:

Ic: Naomi woke up with a gasp, huddled under the blanket. It was a nightmare; an occurring one to say the least. She blinked sleep from her eyes as the sunlight hit her face. "Don't worry, it was just a dream." She whispered. But it wasn't just a dream, it did happen. Long ago, but not long enough. Naomi sat up a bit, remembering the events from last night. She was thankful to be back in a house. She looked back down at her bump and sighed, flopping back down onto the couch.

  • John had been awake for maybe 30 minutes before and was down stairs getting his mail. He opened the front door and closed it as he walked in "I see your awake" he said as he threw the mail on to coffee-table. "So did you sleep well?" he asked as he walked over to the small and pretty crappy kitchen of his, "do you want some toast? because I have pretty small amount of choice in food at the moment and it's toast or this off brand cereal" he said smirking. He looked back at her waiting for a answer.
