How do I make a thread notify me when there is a new post?

I already set my account so that I am emailed when somebody replies on a thread I am involved in, but in order to get those emails, I need to "click the 'notify' button while viewing a thread". I can't find the notify button...
Help?

I'm not sure what you mean, but you don't have to do any of that. I believe if there's a new post in your thread or the thread you posted it, the thread comes up in your Unread Replies?

Oops, sorry if I was vague. I want to get emails when somebody replies to a thread I posted in. In my account settings, I already set it so that I'm supposed to be notified when this happens; however, in order to be notified of a new post in a thread, I have to go to the thread and "click the 'notify' button while viewing it". In other words, I've set it so I can be emailed when somebody replies, but in order for it to begin doing so, I need to specify which threads I want email notifications of by clicking the 'notify' button on the thread. I cannot find that button on any thread, though.
