[fancypost borderwidth=0px; width: 400px; font-family: georgia; text-align: justify; text-transform: lowercase;]To say the least, Wolfram wasn't very good with children but that was about to change. He was going to be fathering whatever these eggs would hatch into, there were three of them and they were hidden underneath three thick blankets that he had collected. He saved them so each child would have one blanket and that the eggs could stay relatively warm until they hatched.
He'd been checking on them today- moving the blankets away just to nose at them to see how warm they were (he assumed that it wasn't good if they were cold) and just checked to make sure he didn't break any when he slept in the basket to provide more warmth.
Today when he was checking at them, nosing at the purple shells and especially the one that had been far too cold at first- they had began to hatch. The cracking of the shells alarmed him at first, but upon seeing some movement, he'd carefully pull apart pieces of broken shell from the rest of the egg. A wide grin spread across his maw when he finally saw the little ones- but it took several minutes.
The first one to hatch was the egg that had been far too cold at first, just like leafbare. That name wasn't suitable tho, and so he decided to go with the other term for leafbare others used. Since they seemed like mutated reptiles to him (he wasn't entirely use to dragons yet) but weren't cats- he decided to go with cubs (the only last names for children he knew were kit, pup, and cub).
"You're going to be Wintercub," He declared- Wolfram was kind of excited despite not being entirely good with children. He got to name them, and he'd get to raise them tho it'd be like improv. "And you're going to be Grapecub," Wolfram choose that name because the shell was purple, just like a grape, but the scales of the little green dragon were that of other grapes. Grapes were weird, he had seen them but hadn't tried them yet. That had been the second one to hatch.
While he had began to name the two, he had almost forgotten about the third- movement being caught out of the corner of his eye caught his attention and it was turned to the little white one. He hadn't really thought of a name for that one yet- but he decided to go with something.
"Deviantcub," Deviant was chosen by Wolfram merely because he had a hard time with that egg- trouble getting it into the basket, and he was always worried it wouldn't stay warm.
After that, he merely took the eggs and the shell pieces out of the basket before sitting down to watch the three hatchlings in the basket he had been keeping them in.
They were adorable.[/fancypost]
